Kumru Hotel is a charming boutique hotel in an excellent location. It was the perfect base for exploring Istanbul on foot. Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern, Topkapı Palace, and many other historic sites are all within easy walking distance. Even if you’re taking the ferry to the Asian side, getting back to the hotel is simple and convenient. What truly sets this place apart is the entire staff and their authentic Turkish hospitality. Every single person made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. They graciously stored our luggage for four days while we traveled to Cappadocia, spent time visiting with us over Turkish tea outside the hotel, and even waited with us until we were picked up for both our airport transfer and an evening excursion. Their kindness wasn’t forced—it was sincere, and it made us feel more like guests in their home than customers at a hotel. The neighborhood is full of cafés, restaurants, and local shops while still feeling peaceful after a busy day of sightseeing. Just be careful to itemize your receipt at some of the nearby cafés, as you might be overcharged. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and perfectly located boutique hotel with exceptional service, I highly recommend Kumru Hotel. I’ve stayed in many five-star hotels throughout Europe, and while luxury is nice, genuine hospitality is priceless. The staff at Kumru Hotel exemplify that beautifully The only minor suggestion I would make is that the air conditioning could have been a bit cooler. That said, we visited during an exceptionally hot period, so it’s understandable given the weather conditions. It certainly wouldn’t keep me from staying here again

The staff was very friendly and it was affordable. The organization of the transport was excellent! The room, bathroom and shower was very small. And the toilet was too close to the shower to move properly. The surroundings of the hotel was not very clean or nice. It was very very noisy too. The breakfast was the same every morning. I expected more for the 4 star rating this hotel was given.

staff were accomodating and excellent hospitality toward thier guest.Room was spacious and cleaned. we loved the the healthy breakfast. Location was 15 to 20 mins walk to all the touristic area, if you love walking this hotel is good for you.

I had an amazing stay at Kumru Hotel. The location is perfect, very close to major attractions, and the neighborhood feels safe and lively. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything I needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Overall, the atmosphere made me feel very welcome. Honestly, there was nothing major to complain about. Everything met my expectations, and I really enjoyed my stay.

Location very close to main sites with markets and restaurants all around Rich breakfast Very friendly staff Good wifi Good sized room Seagulls all around :) Keeping our baggages since our flight was late in the evening :) The hill to the nearest tram station :))

Staff really good,apartment is not that great but but that money is okay. We lost water last night so we shouldnt take shower before our plane. Location is good .

Breakfast is great! Beds are comfy. An extra wow for the staff that makes you feel in a 5 stars hotel. They even prepared a nice sandwich for our day trip and you get all the advice to get the most out of your trip . And It is SUPER well located . Spare some time to get to know Sinan and Abdul who wont hesitate to offer you some hot tea specially if it gets chilly outside! Rooms in the first floors are pretty quiet. The one in the roof has a nice terrace but I recommend the rooms in the 1 or 2 floor
