The staff, the location, the breakfast, confortable, clean All was good

Good location, the room in real life was smaller, than looked on the photo, has a small balcony. Bathroom is spacious and very clean. Thanks to hosts.

It's not my first time staying at Nusretbey Hotel - the service is great, the staff are always ready to accommodste you. Breakfast is awesome - it's real delicious Turkish breakfast that keeps you full for hours. My room had a balcony and a nice view. The location is pefrect - you can get to any part of the city from there. -

The staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety of choices. The food was very good. The view from my room was toward the river and very nice. It was quiet at night. The shower was hot and strong. This is definitely a place I would stay again for a short term stay. The elevator is small but handled my 2 bags. WiFi worked well. The room was small accommodating a solo traveler. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of space for luggage.

Location: next to the entrance to Marmaray. Small room size, floor and ceiling at an angle. Not enough storage space. The water in the room flowed unevenly. Breakfast is very poor: if the omelette runs out, you have to eat French fries and nuggets, there were no alternatives for hot dishes.

Exceptional

Affordable and good location, with walking distance to most tourist attractions nearby. The room was clean. Even though I had already paid the full amount for my stay through Booking.com, the hotel tried to charge me again and a higher amount in Euro. When I remembered and said I had paid, the hotel very quickly changed their words and said they were mistaken. While I would like to give the benefit of the doubt, that it was indeed a mistake, you should always double check and be careful.

The room was small but location was good.

Position of the hotel is superb, everything is on a walk distance from the hotel, and the tram station is just across the door of the hotel. It is easy to transfer from hotel do Sabiha Airport. Breakfast is good, classic choice of food (cheese, ham, bread, cereals, eggs, baked vegetables....) and beverages (coffee, tea, juice). Its an "older" hotel, so the walls are not very thick and you can hear other people. Dont leave the windows open as the cats like to come for a visit ?

The hotel edifice itself is nice and pleasant, and the location unbeatable. Positioned halfway between Karaköy to the north and Sultanahmet to the south, almost all the main sights are within walking distance. Also dozens of restaurants and eateries are steps away. I really would like to rate the hotel higher, but my experience in a single room left a lot to be desired. The problem was not the small size of the room; I have stayed in a number of hotel rooms as small, but the difference is that they were well designed to make the most of the space. This situation was the opposite; it was so poorly designed and furnished as to almost defy common sense. For example, there was a tea kettle, which I really appreciate, but to use it each time required moving away the table it was on from the wall and unplugging the refrigerator to plug in the kettle, then of course doing the reverse when finished. I banged my hand each time because there was so little space for the maneuver. The table-desk was impossible to sit at because the refrigerator was kept under it. The one available stand or stool was the only thing available to put a suitcase on it, but it was positioned in front of the wardrobe door in such a way that the wardrobe had to be opened and kept open in order to access the stand. The bed tilted to one side, and I would have reversed the mattress but there wasn’t room enough to do so. The bathroom was new and roomy, but why a towel ring was squeezed into a narrow niche next to a shelf when the all the rest of the ample wall space was empty I’ll never know. There was a small hardly detectable marble step on the threshold to the bathroom that I missed the first time crossing and still have a black and blue toe from. Also my single room was on the first floor and I could hear everything from both the lobby below and the adjoining rooms. There was a small balcony which was nice, but the shame is that proper design - even IKEA quality - and some sound insulation would make all the difference. Again this was just my experience in the single room. Perhaps the double rooms and those on upper floors offer a much better experience, but nonetheless this is all I had to base my review on.
