Absolutely GREAT location! Very basic room with hot water kettle, fridge and coffee and tea. Breakfast was very nice, and included fruits, cereal, sweets, hot eggs and salads. Front desk staff was nice. Very touristy area, about 5-8 minutes walk to Blue Mosque.

Great location in the old town, close to restaurants and historic sites and fantastic and helpful staff. Room had great views.

Clean, homey decor The location was slightly less ideal. You had to take a specific route to get to the front door and because of the heavy traffic, we had some trouble getting cabs to drop us off. One time, we were dropped off on the other side of the block, at the top of the set of stairs, which headed to the main door.

The Recital is a fine hotel in all aspects. The best aspect is the location . Ideal for walking to the major tourist sites and a short walk to the Tram for more distant locations. The staff was welcoming and very attentive to our needs. It is a comfortable place to stay. I booked a superior twin room but were given a family room with one full and one twin bed. It met our needs but was not what I actually booked. The breakfast was OK but I would have welcomed a little more variety over the 6 days we were there. But not a real problem. It should be noted that there is a series of steps to climb (about 12) to easily access one of the streets to go to the main tourist sites. You might consider this if you have issues with mobility.

Charming boutique hotel that lived up to the descriptions and photos on the website. Clean and modern rooms (all three of my friends who booked there liked their rooms), great breakfast , very helpful staff and perfect location if you are looking for the major historic sites. Close to tram as well if you want to hop over to Beyoglu etc. Very good value for money.

Location, staff , breakfast and cleanliness Slightly small room but manageable

Great location, staff was nice and receptive. I was surprised that our beds were big, we stayed at some other hotels in Istanbul before and bed was short. Gentlamen in the night shift helped us when our flight got cancelled to book another night and was overall very nice. Loved the cat in the lobby!

Sound of water pipes.

The restaurant was exceptional.

Location was great, just a few blocks from the key sights in the Sultanahmet area. Nice neighborhood, it was touristy but could still find restaurants that were reasonably priced. Breakfast was nice, a few different items every morning. The staff were great at making sure there was plenty of food. They even brought us yogurt when we asked for it. We had a sea view balcony room but the best feature of the hotel is the rooftop terrace (no it is not a bar). Fantastic views, plenty of tables for relaxing and maybe have a takeout dinner. We bought Turkish desserts next door and brought them up to enjoy with the evening lights before bedtime. The furniture in the guest rooms could use a bit of updating. Our air-conditioning was not blowing as cool as we liked and when we asked for a fan they did not have one for us. We slept okay but probably should have asked more about the air-conditioning. We still enjoyed it and would probably stay there again if we are back in the Sultanahmet district.

Great location, all the main attractions are within walking distance, and in a quiet street. Our room was spacious with a sea view. The staff was very friendly. Complimentary coffee all day.
-
The room was great and spacious but the problem is that it is not good for a decent night's sleep! Early in the morning the daylight was filling the space because there were no good blinds. Very early in the morning I felt I was sleeping in the street because of the daylight in the room! Toooo baaad! Sorry guys to share this but I thought it was worth sharing for the benefit of your business!!

Close to attractions Too narrow roads
-
Conveniently located near Blue Mosque,Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar and other attractions. Limitation of 1 Liter water bottle if you get the room cleaned. 1.5 Liter bottle cost less than 5 Lira. There should not be limit of 1 bottle a day.

I just wanted to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the staff at this hotel Reza, Ozgur, Mayam, Abdul Rahman, Fatma, and everyone else. During my stay, I truly felt at home. It’s hard to put into words how much I enjoyed my time here it felt as if the hotel team and I had known each other for many years. Oh, and I must mention the hotel’s neighbor, Murat Abi such a wonderful person to spend time with! ? None

The hotel is a nice one, clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and polite, ready to help. Location is good, close to good restaurants and walking distance from attractions. Balcony had a nice view over the rooftops into the sea.

I stayed here about 13 years ago. Love the location, breakfast is wonderful and staff is always marvelous. Great place to stay at. Nothing

Great staff…so helpful, friendly and genuinely nice people. The location is central to so many of the “must-see” attractions in Instanbul. All within walking distance. Great recommendations from staff for places to eat. We enjoyed the views from the rooftop terrace as well. Breakfast was good, coffee excellent. Not a huge selection, but more than adequate for most. The room was comfortable, and the price for the hotel can’t be beat!
-
The location is supreme and super friendly staffs A room is a little too small.
