On the positive side, the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The location was excellent, allowing easy walking access to most of the main attractions. Breakfast was decent and a good way to start the day. On the downside, the room was extremely cold on the first day of our stay. After informing the receptionist, they provided a portable heater. Additionally, the hot water took quite a long time to heat up.

Staff are like family

The hotel is relatively conveniently located (about half an hour walk to Hagia Sofia, the Basilica Cisterns, or the Topkapi Palace, or 30 to 45 minutes to the Galata Tower, the Pera Museum, or the Museum of Modern Art and the corresponding neighbourhoods. There is always someone at the reception, friendly and happy to help. Breakfast consist of a buffet with tomatoes, courgettes, olives, cake, sugary juices, tea, instant coffee, and cheese and cold cuts, as well as a potatoe salad. On one of the days they ran out of bread ~45 minutes before the official breakfast time ends. The view from the terrace is nice, and there are many plants on the terrace. One day they ran out of bread for breakfast, 45 minutes before breakfast was supposed to be over. The room was dirty: I quickly abandoned the idea of using the drawer or the wardrobe to put anything in there. There are stains, dust, and dirt. The sheets and blankets had (light) stains, as well as the towels. I think everything has been washed, just not bleached to remove the stains. However, there were black long hairs between all the towels. Not many, just one or two on each towel. The neighbourhood seems not to be the best. Not that anything would have happened, but I got an eerie feeling when walking around, passing landfills and trash. There are cool eateries and take outs, it's just very street-dependent how everything looks. I cannot recommend walking back at night coming from the Galata Bridge. There are several narrow and dark streets to pass, as well as some brighter streets with homeless (?) children (at least children sleeping in front of buildings). Overall it felt safer to walk back to hotel coming from the direction of the metro station than by foot from the direction of the bridge.

Location. A strong smell from the bathroom. A strange sound. A different room was probably allocated. Needs updating.

Nothing, they took my money and didn't give me a room. I didn't like the hotel they put me in for one night where I got cut on a broken glass shelf in the bathroom, followed by them not refunding the money they owed me for the additional 2 nights that they did not provide a room for me. I also don't like booking.com doing nothing about it. I would sooner sleep on the street then give these people any business.

We loved our stay at Revona Turizm Hotel. Very welcoming staff and helpful. Thank you Mehmet and Jihad! The room was comfortable and clean. The road the hotel is located on, in Vefa, is very lively and culturally rich, with amazing local stores and cafes. Staying here is an ideal location if you want to be a walking distance from the important monuments. It would be helpful to receive a welcome message before arriving with the 30€ airport transfer the hotel offers, we used this service when we left. Also, payment at the hotel is only cash, card payment would be more useful.

The place/hotel where was our room is very old and the smell from the bathroom is noying and upleasant. The breakfast was poor. Locatin on fine, close to the Metro station and in walking distance from old part of the city. The staff were polite and helpfull. The staff are the best think regarding the hotel
