Sofia Konaklama

We had a lovely stay at Sofia Konaklama! It was our first time in Istanbul and the location was a perfect for this. We were walking distance to many amazing attractions but in a quiet street so we didn’t get too overwhelmed by the chaos of Istanbul. Many great restaurants in the neighborhood too. However, Abdullah’s hospitality is what made our stay at Sofia Konaklama very comfortable. He gave great recommendations and answered all of our questions about how to best navigate and enjoy the city. I will book a room again the next time I am in Istanbul

It was a very lovely property, just like shown in the pictures. Loved everything they offered. One thing I have to mention is the hospitality of the manager. He took care of us really well in terms of communication and even cooked for us one night. Truly one of the unforgettable stays! Highly recommended. None.

You should take transportation to every place Walking option to near places not easy

There was a weird smell coming from the bathroom, and the walls were not very soundproof. There were stains on the sheets and some of the towels.

I had a very pleasant stay at Sofia Konaklama Hotel in Istanbul. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the rooms are cozy and quiet. The staff were very kind, respectful, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The location is excellent, close to public transportation, restaurants, and many of Istanbul’s main attractions, which makes it very convenient for travelers. One important thing to note is that there is no elevator, so guests with heavy luggage or mobility issues should keep this in mind. However, the staff were helpful and assisted whenever possible

The vicinity to many shops, public transport, restaurants and historical sites (20mins towards agia sofia) and I had the whole kitchen access. It is best budget hotel in Kumkapi and I will definitely return one day. Construction noises were present during my stay and room service was requested rather than performed every day or second day which these could've been improved easily.

The location was also fantastic. The bathroom is quite small, the bed sheets weren’t clean, and the walls have no soundproofing, so you can hear everything.

Great location next to Kumkapı metro, so handy for connections, beautiful traditional old Istanbul house, simple and humble - Sofia hotel is super friendly, staff were superb, kind and helpful. Offers unbeatable value for money if you want a great quiet comfortable space from which to enjoy the city. I had the superior room with balcony and loved it! Spacious rooms tastefully appointed in traditional style. If you want some super fancy this isn’t it - but this is a lovely cheap option which has ideal Feng Shui, is unpretentious, simple, spacious and comfortable.

I liked it because the room was so comfy and clean. Also the location is very very central... there are many restaurants nearby and also is 10 mnt walking from sultan Ahmed mosque . It's ideal for shopping... I really recommend it. The owner was very kind he helped us to find all the things we were looking for. Everything was good ... I can't complain to be honest

Location and kind staff There was a mould on the wall and the pillow case had to be changed as it was not properly cleaned. The last was solved quickly

There’s a balcony! a kettle to make tea. Comfy and clean and great for its price. Only Hair dryer didn’t work, everything else is fine
