Wish More Hotel Şişli

Comfortable beds. We stayed in the Suite with City View, and it had 2 toilets and 2 showers, which was very convenient for a family of 4. Good location between two metro stations, it took less than 10 minutes to walk to either of them. Excellent service! The hotel also has a small swimming pool, but every time we used it, we were alone there, so it did not feel small at all.

Location, cleanliness Nothing

I will start with the positives: The room was clean and appeared to have an updated interior. The location is good for exploring nearby neighborhoods. The hotel was also relatively quiet, although definitely not soundproof, despite what may be advertised. Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed these points. The main issue was the inaccurate listing. I had specifically searched for a room with limited kitchen or kitchenette facilities. At the time of booking, the property advertised its one-bedroom suite as having these facilities. However, upon entering the room, I immediately noticed they were not present. They had apparently been removed. When I asked the front desk, I was told that none of their rooms had such facilities. The receptionist attempted to show me photos from their listing, but became visibly uncomfortable when I showed him the actual listing and other images indicating otherwise. Put simply, I paid for something the property advertised but could not provide. Only after I raised the issue with Booking.com, and after the property refused any refund, did they change the Booking.com listing to remove references to the kitchen/kitchenette. However, their own website still lists a kitchenette. Instead of taking accountability or apologizing, they later slipped a letter under my door, which came across as a poor attempt to manage the situation rather than resolve it. The WiFi was also terrible. Unless you can persuade them to let you connect to their private office WiFi, expect speeds of around 5 Mbps. This is laughable in a country where mobile data plans can offer speeds of 500+ Mbps. It appears they are simply limiting guest WiFi speeds to save money. There was also an unexplained pool closure. The hotel claimed that Turkish authorities test pool water for sanitary purposes every Thursday. This was news to me, despite having stayed in numerous hotels in Istanbul over the years. I also checked with colleagues working in other hotels, and they had never heard of such a requirement, especially one that would require the pool to remain closed well into the evening, after authorities would no longer be working. Property is very well kept and clean!!! Staff was excellent and very friendly! Gym and sauna opened only at 7 am. Steam was not hot enough.

I’m a regular client of Wish More Hotel in Şişli and I truly love it. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable and spa space is amazing. My stay here is always a great and relaxing time. Highly recommend! The only aspect that could be better is the breakfast offer and area. For a 5-star hotel I’d expect the area to look more adequate - tables should have a table cloth, and the food offer to be a bit better: bread should be fresh, and it would be great if there were fresh juices available or at least juices served in a jar and not from a machine. There was also a problem with coffee and tea that often run out, and no milk available. These are little, but important details that do make a difference and in my opinion just shouldn’t be a problem in a hotel of this class. Hopefully this will change to make the experience even better. I’ll gladly stay here again during my next visit in Istanbul.

Location is central in middle of everything with close walking distance to metro stations No late check out, they asked us to leave sharp at 12:00 if exceeded will need to pay 50%!!!

Excellent clean and spacious room Entrance is on main road. Difficult to find a place for taxi or vehicle to load or unload. Breakfast quality can be improved.
