Casa Foscolo Hotel, Istanbul, a Member of Design Hotels

What can we say about the fantastic Emir. We stayed in early April and it was nothing short of perfect. The location, the hotel, the service were all exceptional. Welcomed in the early evening by Emir, an incomparable human who is splendid as he gave us our rooms and made sure to orient us to the property. Knowing we had a long flight he made sure we knew a restaurant and pointed us to an amazing place that we went to again! Always willing to provide advice, emir offered assist with every detail and his willingness feels genuine versus forced at some other hotels. Mustafa and the rest of the team we met were absolutely fabulous. At a boutique hotel the level of service was too notch. The room was spacious and mostly quiet. Beautiful amenities and bathroom. Do yourself a favour and dont hesitate at all to stay here.

No fault of the hotel but the area is noisy at night

The rooftop bar didn’t work in March. But the rooftop itself was open to visit.

This is a first class five star hotel in a beautiful neighborhood, which is a quick metro ride to all the big sites in Istanbul. The room was exceptionally clean. The staff was wonderfully welcoming, particularly one gentlemen by the name of Mustafa. He was our go to guy when it came to directions and restaurants and anything else you needed. It was a great location with many restaurants within walking distance and the metro just down the street. An easy metro ride to Suntanamet and the Blue Mosque. Everything worked as it should and at a very reasonable price for this city. Room 403 had a great view of the Galata tower. I can’t say enough how glad we are that we stayed here. It reminds me of Ritz Carlton quality. There was nothing we didn’t like about the property.

Staff & location No parking

Service was excellent from start to finish. The team was warm, responsive, and genuinely helpful. Location is unbeatable – right in the heart of everything, easy to walk everywhere. It can get noisy on weekends until close to 2am due to the central location. That said, the windows are reasonably sound-resistant, and this is part of the trade-off of staying somewhere so lively. If you want absolute quiet, staying further away would make more sense.

Location, room and staff. Specially Emir ?. They receive us with a welcome letter, biscuits and a good expresso machine.

The hotel room was great, felt like a nice little apartment with a mini kitchen. Location was very convenient, had amazing cafes/restaurants and tourist sites (istikal and galata) nearby. The hotel staff were amazing too, always ready to assist. Not the hotels fault, but the noise from the garbage pick up every dawn was annoying.

The room was an apartment and big. It was very comfortable. The staff is what made the stay special. Our daughter left her cell phone in the taxi and Birim (sp?) was super helpful in talking to the taxi driver and we got the phone back. He also gave us an excellent recommendation for a restaurant to eat traditional Ottoman food. They were very friendly and made us feel very much at home. The only drawback were the late evening and early morning trash collectors, which certainly not under the control of the hotel, but were quite loud.

It’s a great neighborhood to see things around Galata Tower. Easy walk to Istanbul Modern, seaside, and Galata Bridge. It was pretty quiet considering the fun bars around the corner. Really nice employees who went out of their way to be helpful. A la carte breakfast was nice, but I am a huge fan of a breakfast buffet with lots of fruit options. But, that is just if I’m being picky.

Breakfast was incredible, location was even better! The rooms have everything you need and its excellent value for money. The only thing it is missing is a gym... Nothing

Amazing hotel, from the minute we were greeted with a glass of wine and a smiley face to the second we left, we felt we had choosen the right place. Possibly the best part would be the location, right in the centre of it all yet located down a quiet street, close to metro etc.. Also a special thank you to Emir for making our stay even better. We'll be back for sure.

Absolutely gorgeous property. All aspects of the design seemed to be very thoroughly considered to a very high standard. Beautiful fixtures. Elegant, modern and complimentary to the history of the hotel.

Staff were super helpful and professional giving me an early check in and a late check out. Place is friendly comfortable and very well situated
