Depiero Hotel Karaköy

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was cozy, very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The location is excellent — walking distance to Galata Tower, Galata Bridge, and Istiklal Street, which made exploring Istanbul very easy. The breakfast was simple but nice and pleasant. Overall, it was a great option for the price we paid. A few small details could be improved — water was not provided in the room, and the soap dispenser didn’t work very well. Also, the view from the window was not particularly nice, but it wasn’t a big issue for us.

Cleaning and the stuff were really good. Its view was too bad and noisy and the door of the room was broken and it was really hard to close it and open it and the breakfast was weak and repetitive

Everything about this hotel was excellent. The room was extremely clean, with a very comfortable bed. The location made it easy to explore the city. What truly made the difference was the staff, professional, warm, and always ready to help you! There was nothing negative to mention.

The location of the place is horrible, it's in the middle of an abandoned area, would never recommend it for families, the location is impossible to find even google GPS and taxi driver got lost, shocking location and extremely unfavorable neighborhood, finaly I ditched the stay and booked in another hotel eventhough the cancelation was non-refundable. I definetly not recommend the place.

The location of the hotel was really poor. The streets around it were extremely deserted and dark, and in fact, one of the alleys was even used as a garbage collection point. Overall, the area wasn’t suitable for staying. The hotel building itself was very small, and the receptionist was just average, not particularly friendly. The rooms were also very noisy, with extremely thin walls, and I was woken up several times at night by the neighboring room opening their door. I didn’t get a good night’s sleep at all. The hotel’s breakfast was also quite mediocre.

Dirty, especially the shower cabin. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a while. A lot of dust on the surfaces.

It was a very nice hotel, seemed brand new. Has an elevator for the upper floors which is always very convenient. Staff was friendly and did their best to help with questions and suggestions I asked for. Room small, but very confortable, very clean. Even though I liked the hotel very much, it is located at a place close to a lot of Istanbul's attractions - like Karakoy Port - and it is walking distance to the metro station. Yet, it stands at the heart of a very busy neighborhood where all the local construction materials shops and hardware stores are. That means that to get to and from de hotel, you have to walk by big trucks, material being loaded and unloaded and all that this sort of activity entails. While there is nothing wrong with the neighborhood itself, it isn't really the kind of environment that makes a solo female traveler feel very confortable. On the other hand, at night, the neighborhood was very dark, empty and it's narrow and small streets weren't very inviting to walk around. Probably better for couples or groups, rather than solo female travelers.

It is my second time at this hotel, everything is clean and the breakfast is super nice The staff are really friendly. The hotel is really close to shops.

The location was good but there was a lot of construction going aroun the property, hence there was noise and car/taxi/bus were not able to access the property. The accessibility of the hotel was very poor. Our taxi dropped us 2 blocks away forcing us to carry on by foot with our luggage.

The hotel was incredible from the staff, to the room, to the breakfast it was all so good. Good facilities no problem with the check in process or the room in general. The room was clean and tidy, beds were comfortable. There is also space for your clothing. The bathroom was spacious and included all the necessary things as well as a hairdryer. Breakfast was delicious with a big variety to choose from. The hotel is located at a central location near Galata Tower on one side and the Karaköy seaside on the other so it’s also pleasant to take a walk whether it’s the morning or night. There is also good connection to public transportation as the hotel is situated near the Haliç metro station and the Karaköy tram station was just less than 10 minutes away on foot. Buses were also frequent in the area. The only con the poor soundproofing and that the hotel is located on a street parallel to the main one and there were constructions happening at times (our room was next to one), but mostly it was quiet, no street noise or anything. It wasn’t an issue for us but if it’s an issue for you, keep that in mind. Gotta be mindful when arriving at night but it’s not that far of a walk.
