The bed was comfortable and the wifi was good. We were alittle disappointed with our room. A number of things were broken when we arrived including an outlet by the bed... Visually the room also didn't meet our expectations, the window had a large crack in it and the other window faced an area with a bright light. Also not the fault of the hotel but it was sooo loud, we were on the 2nd floor so the street noise was crazy and then the singing from temple at 5am every morning was pretty rough/unpleasant.

Rooms and nice and bathroom too. The breakfast selection and skyline view from 9th floor was also amazing.

Their kindness, attention, and genuine care made us feel incredibly welcome. Every detail was handled with great thoughtfulness, and they truly made our day feel special. We are very grateful and would like to thank the entire team for such a wonderful experience.

The hotel seems modern and new, but they do not maintain the rooms properly- my room had signs of a huge leak in the shower on the sealing, and it was still untouched by the maintenance team. The shower and towel rack was wobbly, it felt like I could rip them out of the wall if I am not careful enough. The outlet in the bathroom was already ripped out of the wall and just placed back in... the soap and hand lotion bottles were placed on the wall using some sort of sticky tape- it came off immediately after I tried to use the soap bottle.

Modern facilities Very bad windows. You could hear everything and sleeping was really hard since it was so loud. Right beneath our room was a patch of dirt completely filled with trash as well as a dog that was living there and barking the whole time

The service was excellent, Serhat and Befru were excellent at the reception desk. They were also the first smiles you’ll see at the free breakfast which was included in the fee. The breakfast venue is at the rooftop with a beautiful view of the Bosporus. I enjoyed the common spaces such as the lobby and the free spa. Overall great stay!

Many restaurants, markets, shops, famous Galataport, Taksim, all near hotel. Recommended.

The location of the hotel is great. 2 mins walk from Tophane tram station. Near Galataport mall, where you can find lots if Cafes and restaurants. The hotel has a rooftop Restaurant and SPA with Turkish Hamman. The crew were really helpful and welcoming. Mustafa, Ali and others who really helped in iur stay. The facilities should be improved like toilets and air conditining. I checked in at a room on 8th floor was very warm, like a furnace. Although opened the windows to get cooler air but was still very warm. The heating system had issue in floors 9,8,7. The crew moved me to 4th floor which was way better.

I asked for ice for mum because her feet was swollen and they were always nice and helpful. The message there is great my mum said they are the best. The hotel was very clean, well scented and furnished. The lobby was very beautiful. The location is great right next to the tram.

It's really good localisation, good staff. The spa is really nice, and I had the best massage of my life there. Clean and excellent breakfast. The room is very small, and I believe the air conditioner is broken, so it is extremely hot inside. I tried to inform the staff, but nothing changed.

Very pleasant stay at the Root. The location is perfect and the hotel itself is lovely and welcoming. The breakfast up on the 9th floor - to maximize views of the river and sea - is plentiful and tasty. In my room, the bed was very comfortable and everything was tidy. It would have been nice to have a chair (instead of a stool) to sit on to do some work. The shower was clean, but not spotlessly so…a little rough around the edges. Overall, though, no real complaints.

I didn't like having our stay come to its conclusion.

What I liked most about Root Hotel Karaköy was its excellent location and the warm attitude of the staff. The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Istanbul, making it easy to explore nearby attractions like Galata Tower and the Bosphorus waterfront. The neighborhood is lively, full of cafés and restaurants, and very convenient for transportation. The staff were friendly, polite, and always ready to help. Their welcoming and professional attitude made me feel comfortable throughout my stay. Thanks to the great location and supportive team, my experience was truly enjoyable and memorable. Although the location was good, there were several things I did not like about Root Hotel Karaköy. The food variety was very limited and did not meet the standard expected from a four-star hotel. The room was much smaller than it appeared in the pictures, which was disappointing. In addition, the soundproofing was very poor; I could clearly hear noises from neighboring rooms, even when someone used the toilet. I also requested a higher-floor room, but my request was not fulfilled. Overall, these issues negatively affected my stay and comfort.

Our guest, Maryam, welcomed us wonderfully and helped us the whole time. The air conditioner was a little hot, so I called them and they fixed it.
