Tan Hotel - Special Class

Everything was great about the property. The location was excellent. The staff’s were very polite and friendly. Fatima at the breakfast section was fantastic. I will definitely recommend this place and also will return on my next visit to Istanbul.

Rooms are perfect for families.

I've stayed at several hotels in Istanbul, but Tan Hotel has been the best by far. The staff are exceptional—always friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. A special thanks to the wonderful reception team, who were always smiling, professional, and ready to assist with anything we needed. Their warm hospitality made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. A special thanks as well to Mr. Rasim from the rooftop restaurant for his kindness and excellent service. The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of dishes that changed every day, making each morning something to look forward to. The location is perfect, just a one-minute walk from the nearest tram station and within easy walking distance of Istanbul's main attractions. The hotel is also very affordable and offers excellent value for money. I will definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Istanbul. Highly recommended!

Very well located.

Location was very good. Staff were very helpful in all matters and very cooperative in every aspect. Provided great help in organizing tours and transport. 1. The Triple room had a small window and opened onto the back side of many hotels, which could not be used. 2. No meet/chicken option in breakfast. Too many types of Turkish vegetables, which may not be liked by every guest, especially children. 3. Noise in the street.

First and foremost the staff was super friendly and helpful and everyone helps you with a smile. Hotel was in a good location near lots of restaurants and public transportation. The rooms are old and our room had some mold. There is a mosque in front of the hotel and at 5Am the sound will wake you up. Breakfast didn't have much variety and the fresh orange juice cost 3€ per glass extra which I found ridiculous because the only thing good in the buffet is not part of the buffet.

Great location, within walking distance of everything you would want to see. The staff was exceptional. The room was comfortable and fairly large. The breakfast was good with many local dishes. So many restaurants! Very close to a mosque that broadcast prayers until late at night and early morning so windows and drapes had to be closed to control volume.

The location was excellent and close to all the major attractions. The breakfast offered a good variety, especially for lighter and vegetarian/vegan options, and my wife was very pleased with it. Personally, I would have liked a few more substantial or heartier options, but it was still enjoyable. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Overall, I had a great stay and would happily recommend this hotel The only minor downside was being woken up early by the morning call to prayer. Of course, this is part of the local culture and something that is almost to be expected, so it's not really a criticism of the hotel - just something future guests might want to keep in mind if they are light sleepers

The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk to public transportation and the main attractions. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a lovely way to start the day. The room was comfortable, had good air conditioning, and was more than adequate for our stay. Would happily stay here again.

Our stay at Tan Hotel was absolutely amazing. There are no words to express gratitude to the staff, they were very polite, friendly and attentive to every detail. We arrived early in the morning due to our morning flight and they allowed us early check-in. Me and my mother will never forget their kindness and attention. We absolutely recommend this Hotel and will definitely book this place in the future. Location was amazing, Hotel and room was very well equipped.

The staff was very nice, helpful and with tips for sightseeing. Very good breakfast with a beautiful view from the terrace. Perfect location, especially for a short trip. Would definitely stay there again.

Staff was very nice. The “superior” king room was a worn, very average room with I believe a queen bed. Property is not accessible- stairs to enter the hotel, from elevator to landing and to access breakfast. Difficult to get to/from Airport- we took bus from airport and had to walk quite a way uphill with luggage. We ubered back to airport- it took 45 minutes to get out of the stagnant city traffic. I got safety messages every few minutes from uber noting the car hadn’t moved. If you travel light and are good with mass transit, there is a tram that runs a few blocks from the hotel.

Location is the bonus - right in the heart of the historical centre. Breakfast is excellent and worth enjoying the variety of local product. Staff are very helpful, courteous and pleasant. Room was comfortable, clean and the shower very good. Pretty much faultless.

Location, location, location. Simple but clean rooms with great service. Excellent rooftop breakfast. The staff were exceptional. The beds were a little hard.

This is an excellent location if you want to explore the neighborhood. What really stood out to us is that the hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate us when we arrived extremely early in the morning with our young child. They let us have an additional breakfast and even had our room ready early so we could rest. We also liked that they let us borrow an InstabulKart for public transport. Breakfast was great. The area was shockingly quiet at night for being in the heart of the tourist area. The only thing we didn't like is that in order to change the thermastat on the room, you had to talk to the front desk. It was tough to get the room the right temperature because of the cold nights and warm days of spring.
