About YMCA Three Arches Hotel

In the heart of Jerusalem, the YMCA Three Arches Hotel probably has the best location in town. Opposite the famous King David Hotel, it is a 10-minute walk from the Old City. Most attractions of the city can be explored easily by foot from the hotel. This unique, interesting and historical building was completed in 1933. It has beautiful public areas with arches and lush gardens. The restaurant serves non-kosher meals throughout the day, and during the summer months guests can enjoy a meal or a drink on the beautiful terrace. Rooms are clean and basic in design and all are nonsmoking. They include cable TV, air conditioning, telephone and a bathtub or shower. Internet is available for a free throughout the hotel and parking is available free of charge on site. Guests at YMCA Three Arches Hotel can enjoy complimentary access to the indoor swimming pool located in the adjacent sports center, at given time slots. Here guests can also take advantage of free scheduled Zumba, yoga and spinning classes.

The beds are outdated, and the pillows are uncomfortable. There is also a kindergarten directly below the room. In booking, The photos make it appear that a breakfast buffet is served, but in reality there is no buffet. Instead, a very small and basic breakfast is provided. This was very disappointing and felt misleading.

The hotel manager and staff went out of their way to accommodate me.

we were upgraded to a suite. LOVELY!!!! This is our second visit to Three Arches and we really enjoyed staying with you. I wish the restaurant served dinner. Also, your coffee shop was closed (in the past it was open forafternoon coffee)

We absolutely loved our stay here. The location is great if you want to visit the Old City by foot. Francis at check-in was lovely. We got an amazing large and quiet room on floor 2 with a beautiful bathtub and shower. The AC worked perfectly, and there was plenty of hot water. I loved the old style windows and tiled floors. They still had the Christmas decorations up, which was nice to see. We went up the tower for a great view. The breakfast was simple, but good value for NIS 50 - vegetables, eggs, some cheese and salami, bread and a tapanade. We didn't have time to use the sports center or pool, but still thought this was amazing value and a great stay! The breakfast salami was not the highest quality, but that's honestly grasping at straws here!

Comfortable, quiet rooms. Most of the staff are kind and attentive. The location is terrific, across from the King David Hotel, close to attractions, Mamilla, the Old City, the German Colony, buses and trains. Beautiful, charming old building. The breakfast and some of the staff are not what they used to be. I have been staying at this hotel for years, and I will definitely look for other options in the future. Breakfasts in Israel are usually a highlight of the stay in any hotel. This time, there was no variety of salads, no tahini, no yogurt, scant cheese, no fruit, not even the basic cucumber tomato salad, no cereals, nuts, jam, an empty breakfast area, a frequently non-working coffee machine, a dirty tube to the connector for the milk, a "clean brew unit" on the coffee machine for 3 days, no breakfast sliced meats on two of the four days, and one rude staff member. He had to be prompted for everything: Do you have "charif" (spicy sauce)...no? Please check. "Oh, Yes" Do you have orange juice?...not today? Please check. "Oh, Yes." Two days, while the coffee machine was not working correctly, a number of friends of an employee showed up and were served their choice of coffee drink, free of charge. This coffee was not offered to the hotel guests "free of charge", but only to the friends of the staff. This is unacceptable on a number of levels, but especially noticeable when paying guests could not have coffee. To be fair, the manager said that due to the war, there were fewer guests, so the usual buffet options were not available. However, the rudeness of one particular staff member (not the gracious cook), the frequently non-working coffee machine, the dirty milk tube, the constant need to request basic breakfast items, and hosting non-paying guests for coffee drinks, while paying guests were told that the "special" drinks were not for us is ridiculous. I have been visiting israel for decades, and this is the first negative review. Note that the breakfast is being provided by a third party company, hired by the hotel.

This is a beautiful location and the stuff was super nice especially Michel the manager and Francis the receptionist. I would love that they use the beautiful piano in the lobby I think it would be good to have a luggage cart in the hotel and a scale for luggage but overall everything was great!
