Great location - just a few minutes walk to Kagoshima JR station and the ferry terminal to Sakurajima (and aquarium). Very friendly check-in staff. My room was very clean comfortable - big bed, kettle, TV etc. The bathroom / shower was fully equipped.

We had leaking bathtub. There was no tea, coffee available, only coin vending machines.

The whole hotel smells cigarettes. The management should separate smoking floor to non smoking floor. Terrible

Nice location and good price. It needs a reform, rooms are pretty old, and do not look very clean, not because of not being cleaned, just old stains from the pass of time. Bathroom was very small.

The hotel was located right across from a supermarket which made it easy to get food and amenities. Parking was also easy to navigate - we drove a rental car so not having to pay for parking was a huge plus for us. It's also located near bus stops and trams stops. We got a wonderful view overlooking Sakurajima from our room, and it was spacious enough for our group of 4. The hotel room didn't smell great (it had a stale smell of smoke), and the bathroom was in a horrible state. The walls of the shower were covered with black mold.

Room was not clean, mold in the bathroom and a LOT of stains on the carpet, no control over heating and only one outlet.. everything just felt dirty

The location just 5 minutes walk from the Kagoshima station and close by the ferry port to Sakurajima, supermarkets, restaurants and at 10 minute walk to the city centre. Also, if you get a room facing Sakurajima (ours was not facing it, but in the next morning we had the chance to check out the views from one of our neighbours) the views are quite impressive. The price of the rooms are a total rip off (22K JPY for a single bed in a double room for 2 people) for the quality of the facilities and the state of the place. The hotel is quite old, the furniture is at least 20 years old, when you look behind the TV the amount of dust was showing that the place hasn’t been cleaned in months, the carpet had stains of wine or similar. Also, as our room was the last available, we had to take a smoking room, which was all stinking to tobacco (I have stayed in other rooms with smoking allowed but odourless)… We changed to a guesthouse the next two nights and it had much better quality, and the price was a third of what we paid here
