First Hotel Kanazawa

雨が降ってしまって、傘を貸して頂いて助かりました。駅からバスで目の前に止まったのでとても便利でした。周りは観光スポットがいっぱいで素敵なエリアでした。

Rooms were really nice and the people were really nice if you needed anything

Location and the room. They should train the staff/front office to know more about the city and the activities. Also, provide them with a personal translation device like in train station. Communication is a big minus

There didn't seem to be any covenience stores nearby and not very many restaurants super close, so keep that in mind.

Great location close to the Castle, museum and the gardens. Very clean and new, no breakfast that I noted. Room was pretty large and comfortable.

One staff member was extremely rude, even aggressive. Complete breakdown of the usual Japanese courtesy. Basically overshadowed all the good things we did in Kanazawa. All the other staff were fine. But the individual in question was the desk clerk during our stay so we could ask for nothing and was tense coming back to the hotel.

We found this hotel to be very good in terms of rooms (ours were at the back of the property) being modern, clean, quiet and well maintained. The bathroom was in a separate wet room area to the toilet/basin which kept the toilet area dry. The hotel has a good laundry room (coin operated machines). It is a 30 minute walk from railway station but there are frequent buses (£1 ish fare) which stop near the hotel and there is the option to take taxis. Notwithstanding this, it is a great location for some of the key sights such as the castle, park and a number of museums. The surrounding area also has a great range of restaurants, cafes and shops. We wanted breakfast at the hotel but there was no availability when we arrived and we were not warned during booking or check in that this could be the case. Having said that we found a good selection of nearby cafes offering breakfast options.

The location was great and in walking distance to everything We would have liked to be able to eat breakfast in the restaurant that is part of the hotel but were told that we could not

The location and the ambience. They also kindly kept our luggage till we left. After a little nudge they agreed for a slightly earlier checkin. Rude staff at times, extremely congested rooms for the steep price.

Delicious breakfast and right next to the gardens and castle.

Location, room, clean. Breakfast, only served Japanese style and for beverages no coffe, tea or juice - just a cup of water.

Perfect location and a very comfortable room.
