Beautiful room and onsen! Staff was really helpful but English was problematic. They have a great translating device so it worked out smoothly in the end.

It is exceptionally good in all aspects. For a lot of foreigners finding and staying in a traditional Japanese style inn is difficult due to language barrier, but Chaya's reception and consideration and their communication via Booking.com made my experience authentic and trouble free, the whole deal truly embraced the Japanese hospitality of genuine, friendly, attention to details and in keeping of their proud pursuit of perfection. The rooms are so spacious and clean and fully equipped with every detail to even the leave in hair masks, the beautifully designed yukata and geta make everyone looks like a local but special. I loved the food! They are so delicately cooked and presented, each meal time was like an art exhibition only that you and the arts are interactive in a sensual way! I would go back there with my family in the near future. I cannot wait to see Kanazawa in winter with snow! Oh it is a 1min stroll from the Kanazawa station but you hear no traffic from your room. The in-room shiatsu massage was blissful but also really reasonably priced so you can treat yourself 1-2 time a week without feeling guilty! Followed by the onsite onsen, you start to discover meaning of life! I liked everything
