Location and the staff was great! It is very convenient, you can connect very easily anywhere in Kanazawa! We experienced a recurring problem with cigarette smell during our stay. The first non-smoking room we received was heavily saturated with cigarette odor. The staff was very friendly and quickly moved us to another room, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, that room also had a lingering cigarette smell, though much less intense than the first. It seems this may be a common issue in older hotels where rooms have been repurposed. While the staff was helpful, the persistent smell was somewhat disappointing.

I liked that there was a lot of space in the room, the bathroom was nice. I don't remember much since I went to sleep after checking in and left really early in the morning. While checking in I felt like it was very hard for the staff member to help me even though I was giving the information she asked for. While she did get a different staff member to help me, she kept laughing when the new staff member was answering my questions which made me uncomfortable. Though we were using Google translate to communicate (with the new staff member) the laughing staff member would keep laughing and hitting the woman's arm when I was talking. It was strange, and I personally felt like it was a bit unprofessional. It wasn't a bad stay, but too weird of an experience to want to go back. (Not to mention you have to pay a parking fee (the lot to the right of the hotel is 1,000¥ for the night, but during the day is 200¥ per half hour), and a city tax for spending the night there if you aren't a city resident. The tax was 200¥ per person, so keep that in mind if your traveling with friends/family.)

There is a machine on the opposite building, which was really close to our rooms, so it was a little loud.
