Devon Rest

The location is excellent, with beautiful views and well-maintained facilities. While the amenities meet all the essential requirements, the overall experience doesn't quite justify the price. It's a comfortable place to stay, but the value for money could be improved.

The location and the rooms , economic but good quality, big , clean rooms with an excellent balcony facing the lake. Other than the rooms, infrastructure was moderate to good. There was no hair dryer in the room. Also before checking out they made us wait at the reception to check if the room was okay, and if everything is in place. That is not very nice and this was the first hotel in Sri Lanka where we experienced something like this. Were they expecting we will run away with their towels or furnitures???

Very large, clean and comfortable room. Surprisingly good restaurant. Nice location if you want to be downtown and walkable to everything.

Good location, close to the lake and the temple but still a quiet area. Friendly staff and a pleasant, spacious well-appointed room. A buffet breakfast was included. more breakfast options would be great

It is on a very busy road (the lake view) so you can not open the door / window and profit from the view as you’ll be having a lot of noise and traffic pollution.

Very good location just around the lake from the centre of Kandy. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was very good.. No alcohol served in the bar though :-( Having a bar would have been brilliant

Not a bad location, good size room with a balcony, staff were good. Property had a bar but did not serve alcohol, shower was very dodgy

One of the best locations in old Kandy, full view of lake and temple of the tooth. Courteous staff, Good breakfast Situated on a bend on a main road, therefore some road noise, and difficulty crossing to pavement.

you can't really see the lake because it is hidden by trees. the view was still nice because you can see green hills in the distance. the room has a balcony but it l is ocated above a busy and noisy street so unless you don't mind aboit noise you can't really sit there. the rooms though were quite when you close the door

Central location, walkable city and lots of great places to eat around.

Location is good. Great Lake view. Walking distance to trample and bus station. The staff for breakfast is not well trained.

Beautiful room and clean modern style Bathroom

Great location right near Kandy lake with nice views from the restaurant, and lovely garden view from the room (and balcony) we stayed in. All in all - very clean, comfortable and well executed rooms with everything we needed for a one-night stay. Restaurant was convenient during the cyclone as we didn't have to leave to get meals in torrential rain. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Plenty of room for bags / belongings.
