Marriott Karachi Hotel

My first stay at the Marriott Karachi, despite knowing the hotel for many years, and it definitely met my expectations. The location is excellent, the hotel is well maintained for its age, and everything was nice and clean. The staff were friendly, professional, and welcoming throughout my stay. The breakfast was excellent, and I especially enjoyed dinner at the Japanese restaurant. Overall, great value for money and a place I would happily stay again and recommend. My only complaint was the car service, which appears to be run by a private company and was significantly overpriced.

Very helpful and professional staff specially Momal at reception, Noman (bell boy) and M. Naveed Khan (house keeping supervisor). I am extremely satisfied with their service.

Recliner in room was slightly off balance

The room itself was clean and the housekeeping team were attentive. Front desk staff were polite when approached. I ordered seekh kebabs with a mint yoghurt dip from in-room dining on 14 April. Within hours I was severely ill with vomiting and diarrhea through the night. Three weeks later, back home, I am still experiencing symptoms and undergoing further testing. The hotel doctor did not attend my room as I was told he would; he prescribed remotely by phone, and the medication was then charged to my room. My bank card became stuck in the hotel's in-house ATM on 13 April and was not returned until 20 April — approximately 7 days. The hotel's position is that the ATM is operated by an external bank and not their responsibility. When I asked for the General Manager's email to escalate, multiple staff refused to provide it. My initial email to the GM bounced because the property uses a separate local domain. The property's investigation consisted of a sensory inspection of the food. I asked twice in writing whether laboratory testing was performed; this was not answered. The General Manager confirmed in writing that the matter is closed and offered only a future-stay upgrade. Marriott International's Office of Consumer Affairs declined to engage, citing a licensing arrangement. I have the full correspondence, medication receipt and meal photo on file.

The staff was very cooperative and respectful especially Miss Moeeza on the reception. Location is good and rooms are clean The breakfast served was cold and the breakfast menu can be improved. Room furniture and carpets are old and need to be replaced. Overall the hotel infrastructure needs to be upgraded

First and formost, I liked the staff of the Mariott. Especially Room cleaner Pushpa, who took care of me on a day when I was sick and just in the room. She looked after me and ensured that I got everything I requested. I also liked the fact that all staff member spoke perfect english and always did it with a smile and quick to answer queries. I didn't like the fact that the noise on the hallway. You could always here the door banging in my room.

Location and comfort During our stay the construction/repair was going on in adjacent rooms and despite requesting the staff it was stopped for few minutes and then started again. We should not have been given the room on the same floor where work was ongoing

I suggest the food quality should be bit better because I ordered in the morning Chana and next day I ordered pizza and found one hair in the pizza that’s why suggested you to improve the quality and taste
