Location The TV control needs to be renewed, not because of the battery but because the connection and staff could not understand this need

Clean, private bath, very close to station Tried to watch a movie. Tv turned all the way up and had to sit at foot of bed leaning forward and try to read actors lips!!! One wash/dryer for entire facility. Ran dryer x3 then hung clothes around room to get clothes dry (600yen and still have damp clothes in my bag!) breakfast buffet was not great.

It was a nice clean normal hotel. The major thing I didn’t like was there was no air conditioning in May. It seems like they don’t allow guests to turn on air conditioning until later in the year (June maybe?) They told me to open the windows to cool down the room. I kept the windows open all night but it was still too hot to sleep well. Other than no air conditioning it was a good hotel, but no air conditioning was a major negative for me

It was cozy, the room and bed were clean. I got to take a nice bath. The breakfast was comprehensive enough. I liked the coffee and croissants. The vending machine downstairs was more expensive than usual, but it was convenient. I appreciated that they have caffeine-free green tea to drink at night. Thereʻs no AC. My room got super hot, and when I asked them about it, they told me they only have heaters because Karuizawa is usually cold. They suggested I keep my door open to cool off the room. Iʻm a young woman traveling alone! I canʻt sleep with my hotel door wide open! I felt very unsafe. It was crazy to me. It is not the employeeʻs fault, he was very kind. But it was a strange situation. Luckily, I had a window I could open to cool off. But it was right by the train tracks, and the first trains woke me up early in the morning because of the open window.

The quiet room faced the internal courtyard and being on the first floor meant sunlight was not in full effect. Smell of smoke from smoking area just as one gets out of the room.

the room was warm, and very comfortable the breakfast hour was really strict, we was told that breakfast last at 09.30 but at 09.00 they didn't receive any more guest.

Love the location and great value! The staff is friendly. The room is very compact but super clean. Children under 6 can stay free of charge which is awesome. I took my child on a ski trip and it's only 5 minutes drive away from the visitor center of Prince Hotel Ski Resort. Will certainly come back. Overall nothing to complain about. The only thing to note is that parking costs 1500 yen per night and is very limited. Also, the space is a bit tight for SUV.
