It’s a beautiful building and the scenery so beautiful too

location
-
There was nothing wrong with this hotel except that it is not very close to the town or the train station.
-
The location is excellent. It’s next to the supermarket. It includes free parking. It has a small kitchen but the stove doesn’t work and no utensils or eating ware included in the room.
-
The room was nice, and the staff was really sweet and helpful. The location was good, walking distance from the outlet shops and a short drive away from the shopping street. The Onsen was a bit rough looking and poorly maintained.

I was a bit worried before arrival because there were few pictures of the room on booking.com app. But it was a very good surprise: the staff was very welcoming and fluent in English, the room was very spacious with ample storage space, lounge area with sofa, coffee table and TV,a desk area (on top of 4 single beds). The kitchenette was a separate kitchen area with counter top (and 3 bar stools), storage, kitchen sink and 1 burner electric stove (plus other equipment mentioned on booking.com). Reception also lent us plates and pan when asked. The room also had a very efficient air purifier/humidifier (a big Sharp plasmacluster) which was very welcome since rooms are often very dry in winter in cold areas. There is a free underground parking space, useful for snowy days, and an outside parking area. It is a 5 minutes drive from Karuizawa ski center. 10~15 minutes on foot from train station and city center. Large supermarket is less than 5mins on foot. McDonald is also 2 minutes away on foot. Just very minor points: there is flight of stairs before you can reach the elevator, to keep in mind with heavy luggage or limited mobility. The electric stove is of the resistive type so you will need to leverage the electric kettle to speed up boiling water in large pots.

Room is sizable and comfy. No direct access to lift. You have to carry your luggage for at least 10 stairs steps.

The hotel has a friendly and cosy vibe. The room decor can feel quite dated (e.g. retro digital alarm clock built into the headboard) but is extremely spacious and comfortably accommodated a family of 4 (including 2 teenagers). Buffet breakfast (from 7am to 9am) was fantastic and the Japanese breakfast options (e.g. fresh sashimi) were some of the best we had during our trip. The hotel was also conveniently located next to a supermarket, bakery and McDonald's (3 minutes' walk), so it was very convenient to grab some take-away dinner (there are microwave and stoves in the room for simple heating/cooking). The restaurants/food outlets at the Prince Karuizawa mall (15 minutes' walk) closes at 7pm so there are not many food options in the vicinity after that time. There's also free access to the hotel public bath to warm up after a day exploring Karuizawa (the hotel is an easy 15 minutes' walk to the Kumoba Pond, from there it's another 15 minutes' walk to the Old Karuizawa Ginza Street). Hotel is around 900m from the Karuizawa Train Station, it's not an easy walk if you're travelling with luggages. However, taxis are easily available to and from the hotel (which doesn't offer any shuttle service).

Large room with a kitchenette. Exceptional market near hotel.

Very spacious rooms, clean, comfortable, conveniently located near Truffle Bakery and Delicia Supermarket. Parking available. The heater took a very long time to start so we often bathed in cold water or washed our dishes in cold water. If we wanted a warm bath, we would have to run the water for 5-10 minutes beforehand.
-
The room was spacious and clean. The doors to the bathroom and living area were awkward. if you left the living area door open, you could get locked in the bathroom by the other door. The bathroom had an odor that would persist even with the fan going. I think it was a moldy smell?
-
Decent Onsen Nearby Truffle bread store(recommended) Quite a distance away from train station, recommended to take a cab (~1100yen)
-
The room was spacious. It’s a little bit far from the station to walk with luggages、
-
Clean and the staff is extremely helpful. The curtains are not black out curtains so it can be very bright when the sun rises.
