Lakhey Hotel

Lakhey hotel is located 10 minutes walk away from Themal. The hotel is nicely renovated. Staffs are friendly and helpful. There is a Chinese restaurant in this hotel and the dishes are legitimate. Rooms are spacious for 2 - with 2 pieces of big luggage and 2 small bags. There is one significant issue and a few minor ones. The shower is difficult to dial to the right temperature - it was either boiling hot or less then luke warm. The hot water could be all used up after 9pm. The location is not ideal if you look for late night food. The Chinese restaurant located inside the hotel is excellent, though it took quite a while for the dishes to come.

One of the best aspects of our stay was their travel and tour services. They arrange seamless trips to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), Everest Base Camp (EBC), Pokhara, Lumbini, and Chitwan, offering well-organized tour packages with convenient door-to-door service. New hotel. Good view from top floor rooms. No ventilation in room. You can’t even open the window. Very humid inside if the room, especially after a shower. The beds were a bit wet because of the humidity and it was uncomfortable to sleep.

The whole place is new, clean and modern. On the booking it’s mentioned they have a bar on the rooftoo but once we got there the receptionist told us there isn’t a bar yet, they are building it. Also, compared to other places in Nepal, service was okay, but without much effort for kindness.

The hotel may not be very big but the location is very close to Thamel, walking distance. The rooms are modern, clean and with good facilities although not really noise proof. It was disturbing and noisy when the dogs are barking from the house opposite the hotel. The breakfast was limited, would be good to have more options.

Thank you for a great stay. The rooms are new, very clean and quiet. The beds are wide, comfortable without creaking. There is a Chinese restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel. The hotel is within walking distance to Thamel or Durbar Square. The hotel manager was very nice and helpful, he recommended us inDrive taxi app. The taxi ride from Durbar Square to the hotel costs approximately 300NPR. You need a Nepali phone number for the app to work. We got this right at the airport where we bought a sim card with 115Gb of data for 1499NPR for 30 days. Very cheap data unlike Airalo which is very expensive in Nepal. Probably because the rooms are new, there is no safe and some shelves in the in the bathroom. But the manager allowed us to keep our money in the safe at the reception. We have to recommend the hotel unequivocally. Thank you

The staff was extremely kind and helpful. the location is perfect because it is in a quiet street but 10 minutes walk from Thamel and very close to Durbar Square. we got a room on the 4th floor with a nice view and bright windows. Breakfast and dinner were also good, especially the bonus masala tea every morning.
