Restaurant and room were fine...
-
Great location and staff were exceptional
-
Location The room was poor. Bathroom didn’t have shower curtains, the air conditioning was leaking, the power was always shutting off. Cannot recommend.
-
The location was excellent. The best thing about the hotel is the location Rooms are very dated. Bed was kind of uncomfortable and taking a shower was an experience. The whole bathroom got wet. Power went almost everyday. The generators didn't have enough gas and it was extremely hot in the rooms without the AC

Staff were excellent Food was beautiful Breakfast was excellent Cleaners were very good at their job, very efficient. Very good communication before we arrived. They arranged taxis for us. Drinks seemed watered down, cocktails were weak. Drinks and food were expensive. Rooms were very dark

Nice room matching with the island vibes
-
Staff A little more animation during the festival periods

The property is a little dated but well presented. A tv in the room would have been nice and my ground floor room had one window that looked at a brick wall. More entertainment. They have such large under utilized spaces. Their menu prices are also much higher than surrounding spots making them a less evaporable option in the evenings

Location & beachfront: excellent spot on Kendwa beach. Staff & service: Unprofessional, very rude and unwelcoming. We requested a simple 2-hour late checkout after a morning power cut so we could charge phones and pack; instead staff knocked five times in 15 minutes pressuring us to leave “because another guest was checking in,” even though the place looked almost empty. Power & Wi-Fi: Frequent outages and no Wi-Fi in rooms. There’s a large generator on site but it was not run for guests for long stretches until I spoke to them to turn it on so we can prepare to check out and the answer was ( why do you need power?!!), leaving the restaurant/bar and rooms without power for half the day when customers are paying all services fee within the booking!!! Room & facilities: Very basic room; weak water pressure; no pool. Public toilet was dirty and unhygienic, poorly maintained, and missing basics like toilet paper and hand soap. Restaurant & billing: We paid $60 at the restaurant, but staff declined to issue an EFD tax receipt despite multiple requests. After checkout, we were chased down and harassed to pay for a single water bottle left in the room—even though it was our own unopened bottle purchased at a supermarket. Very odd and uncomfortable scene. Value for money: Not worth the money, I’ve stayed in far cleaner, better-run places in Zanzibar and on the mainland for less. Bottom line: Apart from the beachfront location, this property does not deliver on service, cleanliness, reliability, or guest care. Not recommended try to avoid.

Bad Internet and no tv

Good value for money, as the location is perfect but the room itself is not very fancy. For me it’s reasonable to price. Hotel manager is very nice guy, he invited me for drinks and hosted to local nightclub with other guests. Very open minded person with good social skills, I’m very thankful.

The breakfast was good and hearty. It was in a good location close to a good beach and within walking distance of many things. Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with good A/C and hot water. Staff were very nice and pleasant. It’s not about what I didn’t like, it’s more about Google maps and driving to that area. If you drive your own car there, be warned it gets very congested back there and parking can be a little complicated. Google maps is not accurate to the driving directions, and considering the condition of some of the roads, it can be confusing. But if you’re being driven, which I recommend, than no problem. You won’t be disappointed.

I loved everything about mocco beach villa. Location is close to all the activities. Beautiful beaches. Nice walk along the beach from kendwa to nugwe. It has a vibrant night life.
-
value of money Smell Old furniture Need maintenance specially bath room
-
Choice for breakfast is generally poor.
-
Location No place for towels in the bathroom. No foot towel in the bathroom. No cleaning the following day despite that we were staying for two nights. Food is too expensive but of poor quality. Rhe staff us good and very friendly. Especially Monicca was great. The breakfast can be better. For 85 USD per night certainly not good value for money. Next time, I would choose another place.

Passable

The hotel is right in front of the beach so the location was perfect. It's a budget hotel but those not looking for fancy stuff is a very good value for money. We had to request room cleaning every day
