It was nice to have a lift for the suitcases, but it was interesting to operate. There were a few corners of the bathroom along the window that need cleaning attention.
-
The room had an old, musty smell.
-
Some renovations going on - there were no issues with noise but the front is covered in a tarp.

Great location. Friendly staff. Comfortable room and nice restaurant.
-
Great location Loved the harbour view each morning Very warm room and had to open the window during the day to keep the temperature down but at night had to close the windows to keep harbor activity noise out. Wish there was a fan

Amazing staff, great location, and so walkable! Not a thing.

My room was very comfortable and cozy. The bathroom was decorated very nicely and welcoming. Excellent extras provided with great coffee and treats. I loved the decor! One morning at breakfast one of the employees wasn't very pleasant. She kept asking us when we were leaving and she ended up rearranging tables and chairs forcing us to leave. As a small group tour we were told breakfast was available between 7am -9:30am.

We liked the location, breakfast, the room. Overall everything was great. The dinner was ok, but not great. It would have been helpful if the staff at the reception gave us the information that you can see all the important sites by a day pass on the busses.

Location Hotel did not have its own parking lot
-
Location Rooms were small. Porridge at breakfast would have been nice.
-
Location Bar and dining good Staff were good Elevators were not working throughout our stay of four nights Shower cubicle tiny affecting functional bathing
-
Centrally located, very pleasant staff, good beds. No AC, could be noisy.
-
Beautiful historic hotel. Lovely hard wood flooring; big windows amazing washroom! Breakfast could have been much better for the price.

Saturday night can be a bit noisy because dance club is around the corner but quiets down after midnight. Can be crowded and noisy at breakfast because of large tour groups. Vintage lift works but you'll need to be strong enough to open and close doors manually.

Once in a lifetime magic! So beautiful and right at the marina. Kind staff in a remarkable setting.more wonderful than I imagined. As with any historic building the modern amenities are tough to fit in. As a result the shower is miniature. However, the finishing is gorgeous.

The location was great - right across from the harbor. Parking was easy even though the hotel spaces were full. The hotel is historic and really unique in decor and character. Good buffet breakfast and friendly staff. Love the old lift with the gate! Rooms that are on the side of the hotel that faces the narrow street are in for a sad night’s sleep. There is a club right below the hotel and not only is the music loud but the patrons stand outside to smoke and the sound d carries right into your room….until 1am!! The hotel knows this. They need to advise their guests and provide ear plugs. To add insult to injury jury the canopy lights over the street shine right into the room illuminating the gaps in the room Darkening shade. Hotels have exist for one reason- to give travelers a good nights sleep. Sadly they missed the mark on this BIG time.

Fantastic location on the seafront. Really friendly person on reception. Large room with tea/coffee making facilities. Lots of interesting photos/mementos everywhere. The bed was a bit soft. The restaurant meal was OK, but not fantastic.
