Service Meal, it used the burning thing to boil the water and expected it could cook the beef. It needed to changed the burning stuff 4 times and our dinner got intervened because of it. We didn’t enjoy it at all!

Arima gyoen is located right in the center of arima town. Walking distance to all the attractions nearby. It has the gold and silver onsen in the hotel vicinity. The tatami room is very huge and comfortable. Nothing.

1) Convenient. Near to bus and train station. Hence no need to lug your luggage to far as Arima is known for its hilly slopes. 2) Comfort. Though it is an old onsen hotel, it is still very well kept and welcoming. Onsen is not big but well furnished with the necessary amenities. 3) Food. As usual, they will provide excellent traditional Japanese cuisine with local produce. Another plus is that they provided a different menu for the 2nd night dinner instead of just repeating the same menu (which some onsen hotel do). 4) Luggage: We took a bus from Kobe Sannomiya to Arima Osen and return using the same. Luckily, we parked our huge luggages at Sannomiya station lockers, as the return bus do not take in luggage storages - I have seen people carried the huge luggage up the bus and cramped the whole aisle. But it won't be a problem if you decide to take the local train instead. 5) Dates: We chose to stay during weekdays (Thur-In and Sat-out) to avoid the crowds. Most people stayed for one night for the onsen experience which is more than enough as the shopping streets are touristy and not that big too. We stayed for 2 nights so that we can have a little more time to explore the Mt Rokko side via the ropeway and do some little hikes, and to explore other food options in the area. 6) Price: Well....all onsen hotels are expensive unfortunately :P. Nothing that really affects our stay there

My favorite part was the onsen. I got to try 3 different baths and it wasn’t crowded at all. Of course the food was also good and the staff was very hospital despite myself not being Japanese. Nice break from the city. Nothing. I am satisfied.

very nice food, good portion. Comfortable room though it's a bit small. Futons were comfy. There are 2 type of Onsen, nice experience, the silver onsen was a bit too hot. They have a Chinese speaking front desk person. Try not to order kids meal, it's pretty much a whole plate of fried food. Not much facilities, onsen is quite small, but it wasn't too busy.

The property is close to the bus stop and points of interest in town. Our room was beautiful, the meals we had were huge and the staff were very friendly and attentive. This was our first onsen experience and it was fabulous; there are multiple public baths and lots of skincare in the changing room. There was nothing bad about our stay! The meals were heavily seafood based so this may be a point to consider when booking but we really enjoyed our experience! :D
