Hotel Indigo Krakow Wawel Castle by IHG

The customer service at this hotel is completely unacceptable. I booked two rooms online on July 10th for a four-night stay (August 15-18). I explicitly requested in the booking notes that our rooms be adjacent and on the same floor. We are three Asian women traveling together, and since my aunt prefers her own room, we specifically needed to be close by. Instead, the hotel put one room on the 2nd floor and the other on the 4th! This was completely absurd. We couldn't easily look out for each other, and having to take the elevator just to pass items back and forth was incredibly inconvenient. We asked multiple times to be moved to the same floor, but were repeatedly told no. I have never experienced such ridiculous treatment at a 4-star hotel. If the hotel could not fulfill my request, they should have emailed me in advance so I could book elsewhere. Waiting until we arrived to tell us we were stuck on different floors for all four nights is highly unprofessional. While the rooms, housekeeping, and breakfast were fine, the front desk and breakfast staff were downright unfriendly and failed to meet 4-star standards. A hotel that completely ignores its guests' requests and shows zero regard for customer needs is simply a terrible hotel. The customer service at this hotel is completely unacceptable. Fabulous location, good having the rear entrance off the main road. Walking distance to most places. Lovely art works throughout the property. No toilet ammenities.

The location is good, it is a artistic and modern hotel. The bathroom has a problem with the shower, it overflows when you use it, leaving the floor wet. Also the staff was nice but they could be better at helping with recommendations, information and transportation. The bar was too quiet and small.
