Novotel Kuala Lumpur City Centre

كان تعامل إدارة الفندق سيئًا جدًا. حدث احتراق بسيط في زاوية الغرفة بسبب المكواة، لا يتجاوز حوالي 5 سم. حضر مدير الفندق وأغلق علينا باب الغرفة، وطالبنا بدفع غرامة قدرها 5000 رنجت ماليزي. كنا برفقة أطفالنا، ولم يسمح لنا بدخول الغرفة، مما اضطرنا للبقاء في الاستقبال لفترة طويلة. بعد نقاش طويل، وافق على تخفيض المبلغ إلى 1400 رنجت ماليزي، لكن الأمر لم يتوقف عند ذلك، فقد قام أيضًا بإغلاق أربع غرف بالكامل، رغم أن الضرر كان في غرفة واحدة فقط، وكنا أربع عائلات مسافرة معًا. كما أنني لا أعرف على أي أساس تم تحديد هذه المبالغ، ولم يقدموا لنا أي توضيح أو سياسة أو مستند يبرر قيمة الغرامة، لذلك بدت الغرامة مبالغًا فيها وغير شفافة. كانت طريقة التعامل غير احترافية، وشعرنا بضغط وإزعاج كبيرين، خاصة مع وجود الأطفال. كان من الممكن معالجة المشكلة بهدوء واحترام، بدلًا من معاقبة أربع عائلات بسبب حادث بسيط وقع في غرفة واحدة The way the hotel management handled the situation was very disappointing. There was a small burn mark, approximately 5 cm, in the corner of the room caused by an iron. The hotel manager came to our room, locked us out, and demanded a penalty of 5,000 Malaysian Ringgit. We were traveling with children and were not allowed to enter our room, forcing us to wait at the reception for a long time. After lengthy negotiations, the manager reduced the amount to 1,400 Malaysian Ringgit. However, the situation became even more unreasonable when the hotel locked all four of our rooms, even though the damage was limited to only one room. We were four families traveling together. I also do not understand how these charges were calculated. The hotel did not provide any explanation, written policy, or documentation to justify such a high penalty, making the charges appear excessive and lacking transparency. The overall handling of the situation was unprofessional and caused significant stress and inconvenience, especially because we were traveling with children. This issue could have been resolved in a respectful and reasonable manner instead of penalizing four families for a minor incident in a single room.

1. The location was superb, very close to Pavillion. 2. They upgraded my stay to the executive floor, which was very nice and appreciated. 3. The room has 3M filter water which was awesome. The amenity was very well prepared with good shampoo and conditioner. 4. The staff at the bar was very kind. On our last afternoon (27 June), he offered a free Sprite to my son, after he became aware that we had an Accor Plus card (to support me not being able to get a discount of our previous bill). He did not have to do it, but was doing such out of kindness. During our last evening on 26 June 2026, the electricity in our room (2708) was unstable from around 6pm until 9:20pm, and caused 3 of our chargers completely broken. What made this worst was the duty manager in charge was not hands-on to fix the root cause, and kept asking us to change room & no other solutions/compensation. When I told her that the electricity does not seem to be our room's issue alone, our opposite room seems to have the same issue, she said that she did not receive any call from such room yet, therefore, the only solution remained us changing room. As it turned out, the electricity in the whole floor (floor 27) was not stable, and the whole floor had a blackout for 20 minutes (on top of 3 hours waiting in a dark room for the technician to fix the electricity in my room). Should the duty manager in charge be more hands-on and come to the floor to check, that might have resolved the issue faster. I love the hotel so much, but not this very experience. If it wasn't thanks to the bar staff I mentioned above, I would have rated 7 for Novotel KLCC for our stay this time because of the duty manager's ability to handle crisis.

Overall, you can't go wrong with Novotel in KLCC , as its' a couple of minute walk to a pretty big mall (Pavilion) The breakfast could be better in terms of options

Breakfast was excellent. Varieties of fruits and other things were there. Lighting in room and bathroom not enough for me. Recommend to have more lights if need arises. Towards evening, enough hot water was not available in the toilet. Observed this issue 3 days.

It’s right at the center of KL and we can just walk around the neighborhood The junior suite we stayed was comfortable except for the wardrobe which is really small

Location, close to Exhibition center and city center The room looks old and there was a big stain on the floor of room 1209. The breakfast was very small in choices, nothing as close as other Novotel hotels I stayed in Ho Chi Minh or Shanghai. Also no water bottles in the room, just water filtering that I didnt like

Empty minibar. I was not expecting to be a minibar free of charge, but to have a choice to drink a soda/beer. Fortunately, we had the potable water on the tap, which we discovered later.
