I really liked the location, the staff and most of all, Kumamoto. Super comfortable. Kudos to the team: they were all great. Hard to tell honestly. I didn't find anything bad about it.

Hotel was well-maintained with comfortable rooms and friendly & helpful staff. The hotel is also within easy reach of popular attractions such as Kumamoto Castle, Shimatori Arcade, and Sakuramachi rooftop garden. As local trams tend to fill up very quickly guests with large amounts of luggage will need to consider a taxi to and from the main train station or be prepared for about a 30 minute walk.
-
Very central place. 3 stops to Kumamoto Castle on the Tram, or you can just walk it. There is also a restaurant and shopping district nearby. Staff were friendly and find. Red Light district is right behind the hotel. However, I knew that before booking some I'm not bothered.

it was only half mile walk to walking street on Ginza and tram line. the staff kept the room clean The breakfast was not good a small box of cold rice, cold inch long stip of fish, on steamed dumpling and bottle of green tea. Rooms were super small but clean no chair just beds fit. Lobby was not useful to sit. the roof top bar was not in service and has not been for what looks like years. so trapped in room on super hot and raining days with 3 japanese only tv channels no chairs to sit in had to use lap top on lap on bed. We moved out due to size and distance to the bus we need to get on to each day to go to our water polo tournament. Rooms were not designed for two people Young people at the desk spoke little to no engilsh and that was an issue for us The Slovakians and Agentinian water polo teams that were also at hotel as I had to try and communicate for them a number of times as their English was poor and the staff could not understand them at all.

Located in downtown Kumamoto, and it has excellent access to most of transportation Wi-Fi service is provided, but it is a little slow. There is a router located in the center of the hallway, and it seems that there is a large deviation depending on the location of the room.

In the morning it has an Amazing light. Beds are comfortable. Well equiped: tv, air conditionner, boiler, normal stuff but ok. Room size is too small, windows cannot open and to get coffee or tea I had to descend to the reception every time.

The hotel reception and hallways are fine. You get what you pay for, a very inexpensive overnight stay! The room, it is in need of an overhaul and clean! The wallpaper under the window was peeling. The window was lined with mould and it didn't seal properly so we could hear every car and bike passing. The walls are paper thin, we could hear every movement from the neighbouring room (they didn't get much sleep either ?).

Staff were friendly. They were generous about coffee/tea in the lobby. No USB. Not enough electric outlets. Bathroom was so small.

location is near station and shopping arcade nothing

the location was great, the staff were super friendly, knowledgeable and had great English support. The room was also spacious! The plumbing was very loud, every time we used the shower or flushed the toilet there was a loud screeching sound!

The staff were the only likeable thing during my stay at the hotel. They gave their best to make the stay as comfortable as possible, granted me a room change and were quick to respond to any inquiries. The hotel is old and dated, I had a smoking room first which had an unimaginable stench to it, which was made worse by the fact that you couldn’t open the window. The bathroom sink was leaking onto the floor and the shower curtain had mold stains on it. Luckily the staff was nice enough to give me a room change.

kind and helpful staff that allowed us to drop our bags and they even brought them up to our room so they’d be inside when we came back to get our key. The air conditioner had an awful smell when being used.

Booked non-smoking room, but had to stay in smoking room because no other rooms were available.

The location is very good, one of the few hotels downtown Kumamoto; most of the others are across the river. The hotel is a 5 minutes walk to the shopping arcade and 10 minutes away from the bus hub and Kumamoto Castle, which makes it convenient for travelling. Quite old building and furniture, dark and small room, cramped bathroom (if you are tall, you will definitely have problems fitting).
