Origin Lombok

We have had a terrific stay at the Origin with our family of 3 children. The staff is very friendly and super helpful, and the rooms are very tidy. The pool is great, and we loved the BBQs with live music. Would definitely recommend!

stayed at origin resort in lombok and it was such a good experience ? shoutout to fauzan and jeffrey — both so friendly, accommodating, and went out of their way to help us the whole stay. service like this makes such a big difference only suggestion: extend the spa/massage hours! they close at 8pm which felt a bit early, would love the option for a late massage after a long day out overall would definitely come back.

We loved everything about this property, the staff were wonderful, the resort was absolutely beautiful, the accommodations in the bungalow were simply fantastic… Wonderful air-conditioning, spacious place to stay, fantastic balcony overlooking the pool, we could not ask for more.

This property is beautiful, very aesthetic, and has a really nice vibe throughout. The hospitality here was exceptional. Every staff member we interacted with was polite, welcoming, and always ready to help. A special shout-out to Amat, Ilham, Nana, and Aditi for making the stay even more memorable. They were genuinely kind, always smiling, and went out of their way to help whenever we needed anything. The breakfast was excellent, and the food overall was really good as well. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities you'd expect. Room service was quick, and everything was well maintained. The pools were also clean and a great place to relax. If you're looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and well-managed place to stay near Kuta, I'd definitely recommend this property! The only thing I'd say you should consider before booking is the location. The property is around 10 minutes from the main Kuta area, where most of the restaurants, cafés, and nightlife are. It's also located right beside the highway near the Mandalika Circuit. It wasn't an issue for us since we had a scooter, but it's something worth keeping in mind depending on how you plan to get around. Other than that, I genuinely have no complaints!

Costumer service was AMAZING. Clean, updated, super good vibes. The room was super nice, pool spectacular, and FOOD A+!! Buffet breakfast was amazing and all the staff during the stay were most helpful and friendly people. Best experience out of all the places stayed in Lombok. Not only was the rooms, and property so amazing but the staff were the best staff I’ve seen. Anything we needed was brought right away, served with friendliness, happy attitudes, and extremely kind. One of the workers Amat, was so attentive and cared so much to make costumers happy. Not just my family and I, to so many other guest went above and beyond to make their stay amazing!! The house and the facilities are exceptional. Everything is closeby and available. The staff are always willing to help and extremely friendly. A special thanks to Najam, Dayo, Irika and Rengga. Who where wonderfull our entire stay there!

I love how every single person is friendly and wants to make your stay enjoyable. Atam asked everyday if there was anything he could do for us. The servers Ilham, Adit, Kia were great. The front desk (Rahmat and Jef) was helpful and friendly. They will arrange transportation or tours if you wish. We hired our own driver but nice to know they are there if needed. The property itself is beautiful and well kept. You could stay there the whole time if you wanted. They have a restaurant with good food and a bar. They upgraded our room and we were thrilled about that. The room was right off the pool. The beds were a little hard for my liking but I have found that to be true all over Indonesia. It is too far to walk to Kuta town but transportation is readily available.

Many improvements are needed at Origin, within the rooms themselves, some rotting wood, mould on the curtains and mould/build up by the shower etc. On my first morning I found a bug on the bed, which was filled with blood - I told the staff that I assumed it was a bed bug (after checking against pictures online) I also provided them with a photo. They said it hadn't been an issue before, but I have seen other reviews regarding bed bugs previously... The location of the hotel isn't great, you need a car or scooter to get anywhere as it is not within walking distance of beaches or Kuta town.

Staying at Origin Lombok was like a fairtytale! First off, the facilities are beautiful. The pool is so lovely and refreshing with plenty of lounge chairs and cabanas to relax. It was never a problem getting a chair. The service is out of this world. Not only is there a restuarant, pool service and room service but everyone at Origin goes above and beyond to make your stay as good as possible. The team clearly takes a lot of pride in their work as they should because they do an excellant job. While everyone was incredible, a few people along the way really stood out. Amat was there to answer all my questions with a smile. He told me he is fairly new which I would never know because he seemed to be an expert at Origin! The front desk staff, Putri, Vira, Jefrey, and more were there to greet me every day, helped me orgainze my motorcycle with no problems, and were so kind and friendly to me. Dayu at the bar was always a joy to talk to. Anis, Irika, and Nana are soooo sweet and I hope to see them again. The bartenders were all great. I was happy to see Junadai in the morning at breakfast. I also had a spa treatment - massage and after suncare that were amazing. This place is perfect for a relaxing base to explore Lombok. They also offer tours and babysitting services but I didn't take advantage. While it is a little out of central Kuta - this is a GREAT thing because Kuta is very claustorphobic and not good for walking around. I feel blessed to have found Origin Lombok on my travels. Finally, I really appreicate that they have a training program with the local high school. All the facility staff is local which I think is great. nothing.

The staff onsite were lovely. They tried their best to help us with the problem we had. DO NOT STAY HERE. We had an extremely disappointing and distressing stay at Origin Lombok. During our stay, there were rats running around in the roof of our room throughout the night, and we also found rat droppings in our bed. After reporting the issue, we were moved to another room, however the same problem happened again with continued noise and signs of rats all night. It was impossible to sleep or feel comfortable. We ultimately decided to leave the hotel early because the conditions were completely unacceptable. We discussed this directly with the onsite manager, who agreed that the remaining three unused nights of our booking would be refunded. Unfortunately, management later refused to honour this agreement and instead offered us a five-night voucher. After the experience we had, we do not feel comfortable ever returning to this property, nor do we have the ability to travel back to Indonesia simply to use a voucher. We understand that Indonesia is full of animals and insects, we are completely fine with that. This was a clear rodent problem that they knew they had but simply still allowed people to book and stay in the rooms. We have plenty of videos to prove this, even after sending them to staff, we have been ignored. We paid a premium price for this accommodation and ended up losing over $1000 AUD, plus additional costs for last-minute alternative accommodation. The management as well as booking.com handled the situation incredibly poorly. We have had to continue to chase a response from both and after 1 month of trying to atleast receive our unused nights as a refund, we have been told they have refused. There are so many beautiful places to stay in Lombok, steer clear of Origin it is not worth your time or money.

The property was absolutely stunning. Everything was beautifully maintained and cared for. This place felt like a little oasis in the jungle. The restaurant on site was beyond perfection. The choices of drinks (real fruit juice) and ice cream was my favorite. The management overseeing the property always made sure you had towels, drinks, snacks and friendly conversation. /

Beautiful gardens, great and attentive staff, comfortable rooms, nice design, peaceful and quiet Location not great if you want to be close to Kuta but with that said it is still very easily accessible. Rooms could do with a large standing mirror and bed lights

Everything was perfect. The staff is very helpful and very nice. I will book again if I come back to Kuta.

Bed bugs me and my family have lots of bites all over our bodies. Not happy I want a full refund for both nights. Honestly this cannot happen in a hotel suggested by booking.com.

It’s very spacious, very green. A ton of things to go to around the area. The shared areas, such as pool area, restaurant, SPA center are all very comfortable and well thought out. I think the food wasn’t the best to be honest. For the price I paid, I expected much better food. Also a more affordable laundry service would have been great. Difficulty of access is a bit of a problem. I just wish the road to the resort is paved.
