A very enjoyable stay. Priced well, with a decent room size, and in a prime location (close to Kyoto Station via bus or subway) but also far enough away to not be in the busiest area. Room was well furnished, comfortable, and well lit. I would likely return when I am in Kyoto next.

Clean, comfortable, and centrally located. Lots of great eateries within 5-10 mins walking
-
Convenient location. Staff are helpful.

The location is ideal for tourists to walk to sites such as Nijo castle and Nishiki market, and many restaurants. The early morning bread beverages is very nice. Breakfast is also available. Nothing

Extremely clean. Provided water, tea and coffee. Close to bus stops. A bit walk to the metro but acceptable.

Location Breakfast was same every day during my whole stay, some variation would have been nice.
-
Lovely location and beautiful hotel, rooms are very spacious Welcome desk staff, a woman was vey rude to all guests and put a damper on the whole stay
-
The cleaning of the room and the kindness at Front Desk need to be improved.

It was spacious and clean. Specific staff was very rude and unprofessional

The property was close to shopping, just a few minutes walk and it was near a shopping district with lots of food areas as well. The staff seemed like they were a one person for everything. There wasn’t anyone that was designated to the front desk, and sometimes there would be no one there and no way to contact them or let them know you were there.

Disappointed

Can’t think of anything.

i did not like the breakfast that we had purchased. Almost the same food was served throughout our 5 day stay. The onion/curry soup was too much after the 2nd day. My impression is the food was pre-packaged and was just warmed up when you are ready. The only saving grace is the bread/muffin/coffee that was provided and available throughout the day. They were good.

Good location, clean, nice simple breakfast helpful staff
-
Morning coffee machine didn’t work one day; breakfast bento boxes weren’t all the same (missing yogurt)
-
Laundry machine was always busy which made it hard to do. Staff seems very short compared to the staff of Agora Giza.

Room is nice and clean The hotel itself was very clean and well maintained, but my experience with the breakfast situation and staff attitude was disappointing enough that I would not stay here again. Breakfast is not a buffet but a boxed meal that must be reserved before 3 PM the previous day. Since I arrived in the evening, I was unable to book breakfast for the next morning. By around 10 AM, breakfast service was already completely over. I bought a simple breakfast from the convenience store next door — just a rice ball and a crab stick — and sat at one of the open tables in the common area, where most tables were empty. I noticed the sign on the table saying, “Please refrain from bringing in food and beverages,” and honestly hesitated for a moment. I may have misunderstood the wording, but “refrain” did not sound completely absolute to me, especially since the area was almost empty and I planned to eat quickly and carefully without leaving any mess. Another reason was that the hotel coffee could only be served in ceramic cups, with no takeaway cups available, so I could not simply bring the coffee back to my room to eat with my breakfast. I had only just sat down with a cup of coffee, and my food was still unopened on the table, when a staff member suddenly came over, aggressively tapped the sign twice, and glared at me without saying a single word. I immediately returned the almost untouched coffee and took my breakfast back to my room. I fully understand that hotels have their own rules, and I would have completely accepted a polite reminder. What I could not accept was the way I was treated. The staff member’s attitude felt unnecessarily harsh and humiliating, as if I had done something seriously wrong. It honestly reminded me of being scolded by the strictest teacher at school. Clean rooms alone cannot make up for an experience that leaves guests feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.

The room is quite small and the layout of the room also doesn't help much with the space. In other hotels the towels are no change everyday which is okay to save water but the rooms are arrange everyday and in this hotel was not the case. Location is great to reach the station but for the rest of the sites it takes a 30min walk.
