Gion Crystal Hotel

Great location in Gion. The room was spacious. Friendly staff. The breakfast looked really good though we did not order it. The vanity/sink area associated with the bathroom was actually in the main part of the room, not in the room with the toilet and shower, so when sharing the room with others that was a bit of a pain as I get up earlier to do my make-up and had to turn on the light to do so, which woke up my family.

Clean, well maintained and quiet rooms. A tad bit small and cramped up but that’s understandable for Japan.

We needed a quick one-night stay at the last minute. This hotel was perfect. We even purchased a robe that my wife liked when we left.

It is well located, clean, close to restaurants and temples. I really enjoyed our stay there.

Location is good for exploring. It wasnt very clean. There was dust on the back of the bedrest and the reading loght was flickering so we couldnt use it.

Great location, in a touristy area with lots of things to do around it. Bus stop right around the corner. Room was a bit small but reasonable. Breakfast included (nice!) but nothing to write home about.

It was about a 10min walk to the nearest train station which is quite a bit for a vacation with a lot of walking. In the end we didn’t mind. Area is full of cute bars & restaurants.

It was in the Gion area. very close to the old street and the Geishas. I loved it at night. Easy to get around and get a taxi. Cool area Nothing. Me and my family were very happy.

The location was excellent- right in Gion but not in a loud part of the district- the restaurant on site was super helpful and the breakfast was great As an American i thought the bathroom was very small and the rooms looked a little aged- but the location was ideal

They were strict with checking at 4 pm even though the room was ready and then they forced check out at 10am. They mentioned breakfast was included but when we came down at 9 they said it’s past the time. There was a lady that let us grab a quick bit. They didn’t mention that breakfast was from 7-9

Location was excellent! Small boutique hotel right by the main sights and easy access to metro. Room size was a bit larger than we experienced in Tokyo so that was a plus. Basic but clean! The bathroom was way too small for even 1 person. Was like a manufactured pre-fab box with a very low ceiling g compared to the room. Free Breakfast was very limited but we appreciated the coffee.

Perfect hotel with amazing location! Really best location close to all important attractions in Kyoto. The service is kind and helpful and the room is bigger than usual in Japan. The hotel is perfectly clean and smell good. Bed, pillows and linens were super comfortable. On our next visit we will choose this hotel again.
