We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Kyoto. The location was excellent, with a subway station just a short walk away, making it easy to get around the city. The room was spacious and comfortable, and we were pleasantly surprised by how large the bathroom and shower were. Everything was very clean and well maintained throughout our stay. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely stay here again.

These facilities offered a lot of space in a big city and gave us the opportunity to be able to rest from lots of traveling around. The shower/tub combo was very spa like and made it especially easy to relax after a long day. Additionally appreciated how close this place was to the metro.

we loved the peaceful boutique style, and the friendly, helpful staff. electric bicycle hire was an added bonus.

It was very modern and quiet. Felt very peaceful and was in a good location. Staff was incredibly nice and the welcome drink was a nice surprise. Pajamas provided were also super comfortable!! The vent in the shower could use some cleaning but that’s just me nitpicking.

Bed is comfortable and the room is dark. The room is not very clean; it's not dirty by any means but you can see water stains in the bathroom. Also the room is dark, and the lighting is too dim. Hard to see even during the day. A lot of articles mentioned they use Aesop products but our room was not. I thought they switched out Aesop but saw Aesop bottles on the cleaning crew's cart the morning we checked out. Not sure if it's because we booked the cheaper room, but feel like false advertisement or different treatments.

My wife and I had a wonderful time staying at Hotel Canata Kyoto. Ben was amazing, very kind, funny, and friendly service. I manage 130 condos in Panama City Beach, Florida, and would love to hire a staff member like Ben. Give that man a raise, and keep him as long as you can!

The view, peaceful neighbourhood, exceptional quality of the room, its facilities and attentive staff make this a perfect romantic stay. There is honestly nothing to dislike about this place. You should definitely stay here, you'll never forget it!

Love the modern design! So many thoughtful elements have been put into this space, the walnut bar and table tops in the lounge/breakfast room are beautiful examples. Guest rooms are well laid out, linens are excellent and lush and amenities are upscale.

A little away from the main tourist area, but that's not a bad thing and it's only 20 mins walk to get there. Really comfortable room and incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Nothing.

Amazing location, right across from Nijo castle. The bar in the lounge is fantastic. Greta place to sit with a drink and people watch. Staff were incredible. Nothing to write here.
