Awful breakfast. Room too small to sit down comfortably.
-
4 Star Hotel with very kind and staff. There was nothing to dislike.
-
It’s perfect! Can’t find anything I don’t like.
-
Small room, but of course I knew this going in.

Good location. Parking is available.

Great location - close to subway station, kombinis, as well as nshiki Market Comfy rooms Everything was okay. Can't recall anything that would be particularly annoying

The room was very clean and spacious compared to other hotels we've stayed at. There was plenty of space for our luggage, getting ready, and not feeling cramped! Our room had a large balcony that was amazing to relax on, we were also able to hang up our clothes to dry outside after using the laundry facility. The staff was kind, there was a family mart close by, and everything looked very nice. Which was clean and easy to use. I would love to stay here again While most things here were amazing, it was hard to get laundry done due to there only being 3 units. Luckily we had a day that we were able to come back to the hotel mid day and get some done. They were always in use at night.

The location is very convenient, with many local Japanese restaurants within a few minutes' walk, subway, shopping, the huge Nishiki Market a ten minute walk, and a Lawson's convenience store on the corner, about a 2 minute walk. Simply perfect! The facilities are clean and comfortable. The bedrooms and bathrooms are compact, as is the standard in Japan. The staff are responsive and exquisitely polite. The laundry room has three all-in-one machines; they automatically dispense detergent, then run a wash-rinse-dry cycle that takes 90 minutes to two hours, depending on how large a load you have. Note that the clothes come out damp, as per the Japanese preference for clothesline drying rather than machine drying. But you can add an extra dry cycle for another 100 yen if you don't want to wait all night for clean clothes. Breakfast is a combination of continental (breads, drinks) plus a prepared tray of either Japanese or Western fare. It’s all pretty good but doesn't vary much from day to day. Some mornings I was happy with just the rice and a bowl of miso soup. The coffee is excellent. Note that not every room reservation includes breakfast, and they won't necessarily sell you a breakfast on the day; space is limited. This is one area where Toyoko Inn wins; they have an excellent buffet available to all guests. Maybe Via Inn could consider this approach in the future. I was there for two months, and enjoyed every minute of it. I would definitely go back! Nothing to complain about.

Location was great. The staff was very nice and attentive. The room was super clean as expected. Free toiletries including razor, face moisturizer, lotion, etc. Only 10 10-minute walk from Nishiki Market and subway stops. Plenty of restaurants within steps. The double twin room that we stayed at was actually bigger than expected but the bathroom was weird. You have to to step up to enter the bathroom. Felt like a cruise ship bathroom, honestly. Very small, but everything was functional. Just the step up threw us off. Not recommended if you are traveling with an elderly person. FREE daily breakfast was great. Choice of Japanese or Western plus a little buffet area, complete with juice and coffee. Also you can request late check but they charge like $20 Bathroom was cramped and you have to step up (meaning its not the same level as the room. It like cruise ship size bathroom, but everything was functional. They only provide 1 pillow per person and its super thin. I guess most budget Japanese hotels have the same amenities.

Machines for booking in & out. But staff helped so was OK.

Location is perfect, cozy hotel with delicious breakfast options

There was no view out of the window. The breakfast wasn´t included and not my cup of tea.

Employees are nice. Great location. Was the best value for a last minute reservation (2 weeks prior, during Sakura season). You can leave you luggage in the lobby before and after check in. Wi-Fi wasn’t bad (better than the Garden inn when it is x3,5€ a night) There was a constant humming sound that prevented me from sleeping. Rooms are extremely small (you can barely open your luggage fully on the ground). Bathroom is very similar to being in a trailer, smells of smoke because of the vent connecting everything and not the cleanest I’ve seen. Breakfast is not great, not super vegetarian friendly either.

Good location near Shijō Station, friendly staff, typical amenities, bed was very comfortable, excellent water pressure. I would stay there again.

The staff was great, the room size was also good considering the location. The main thing that was uncomfortable was the pillows. Eventhough, it is a signature pillow as advertised by the hotel, I suggest you have spare pillows for guests who are uncomfortable with such standards. The pillows
