Our brief time here was lovely. The hotel is quite modern and stylish and our room was extremely comfortable. The staff were kind and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the morning. Breakfast was crowded and understaffed. They worked very hard to keep up with things, but struggled with the amount of people in the space.

Minimal free amenities compared to other hotels

The staff was extremely nice and helpful since even before our stay. They helped us with our luggage as we needed to send it to and from Kyoto. Location is nice as it is in a calm street, but walking distance to some of the main markets, stations and shops. Room was comfortable and well equipped. We ended up extending our stay from 3 to 5 nights while we were there and the staff helped us accommodating our needs super last minute. Nothing really - if I need to say something, breakfast was okay but could have had more options in the buffet.

Great location: close to many iconic Kyoto landmarks, quiet atmospheric neighborhood with many authentic restaurants and sake bars. Great service and very helpful stuff at the front desk. Clean and comfortable rooms. Big bathroom. Everything was great. The room size was rather smallish yet comfortably livable for two people with two big suitcases.

Good location, quite hotel, it was my 2nd time visiting it and I knew what to expect. Great value for money Although the first time I stayed in the hotel, I knew the TV didn't function properly, I hoped it will be different during 2nd visit - unfortunately I was wrong. Netflix worked ok on the tv, however, there were sound issues on it. Tv was clearly very outdated. Also, the sound riverb was strange in the room (due to window styling)

The staff were beyond helpful and friendly. This hotel was clean and I was happy with my stay.. room was a tad tiny but that’s to be expected in Japan.

This is my 2nd stay in this hotel. Location is quite convenient and very close to Nishiki market. The staff are friendly and approachable. Hotel is very clean too. Value for money.

The location was excellent. Easy walking to great destinations. Staff was heloful and kind. Breakfast was fabulous. Bath was deep and lovely. The room - which I hear is large for Kyoto - was so small I could not even put out my yoga mat. When I asked if there was another place in the hotel to use, they said no. I used the hall, which was not ideal. Also, the room was a little claustrophobic since the window is frosted

I’ve stayed in several hotels across Japan, but Hotel Vista Premio Kyoto Nagomi was hands-down the best experience of my entire trip. Everything about this place felt intentional, warm, and genuinely welcoming. From the moment I arrived, the staff set the tone. They weren’t just polite in the typical “Japanese hospitality” way, they were truly kind, patient, and thoughtful, in a way that felt personal. Every interaction I had with them made me feel cared for, not just checked in. I honestly think this was the best staff I encountered anywhere in Japan. The hotel itself feels peaceful and beautifully designed. The lobby has this calm, modern-traditional vibe, and the attention to detail in the rooms blew me away. My room was spotless, perfectly laid out, and incredibly comfortable. The lighting, the way the bathroom was designed it all added up to a space that felt much more special than the price would suggest. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable. You can walk to Ninenzaka, Sannenzaka, Pontocho, Gion. Somehow it manages to be close to everything while still feeling quiet and tucked away. But what really makes this hotel incredible is the feeling it gives you. After long days of sightseeing, it felt like coming home. I genuinely looked forward to returning every evening and that’s not something I say often about hotels. I’ve already decided that whenever I come back to Kyoto, this is the only place I’ll stay. I’ll plan my whole Kyoto trip around staying here. It’s that good. To the entire staff: thank you for making this the most memorable and enjoyable stay I’ve had in Japan. You made a huge impression on me, and I’m grateful. The only issue I can think of is that the bed was a little hard, however I'm someone who enjoys softs beds. Its still the best hotel I ever stayed at. Outside of that it was perfect!
