This was the nicest hotel we stayed in during our family vacation to Japan. We also traveled to Osaka an Tokyo. Room had all the amenities you could possibly need. Breakfast is excellent. Amazing staff

No clear instructions on if the checkout window was missed. When asked about the same before, one of the front office staff mentioned you have to pay extra, which i agreed for as i was not sure, i will make it back on time. But when i came back all my belongings are touched and repacked by the staff and left out as if like an eviction for a homeless people. I was shocked to see such a behavior and they didnt bother to tell me before that it is better to pack everything and keep the bags in cloak room by myself. Since i was told i will be charged extra, I didnt bother to pack. And after reaching hotel, the staff was very rude and some of the items were missing. In order to get that back it was a fight. I wouldnt recommend this one Communication

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, rooms comfortable and location good. We loved having access to laundry facilities and public bath too. The wifi was absolutely horrible - hardly any access and when you finally would connect, it would drop constantly.

I thought the breakfast was very good. The onsen was also very nice to use. The space of the room could have been larger, but I am sure this is because it is meant for 2 people at most rather than 3.

Right in heart of the Nagakyo in Kyoto, great zen decor and good clean rooms, great breakfast, walkable to most places WiFi in the room could be much better, this is the only one thing which could’ve turned the experience excellent

Immediately a calm, zen environment when walking into the lobby. The staff were so helpful and kind the whole time we stayed at the hotel. The included breakfast was incredible. The room was very cozy, clean and comfortable. The public bath was also a great way to wind down after a day of walking. N/A

Great location in a less-touristed but still cool neighborhood. Lots of good little restaurants nearby, and great to explore the surrounding area by foot. Nothing I didn’t like. The sento was nice but wish it had a rotemburō.

The staff is amazing: communicative, professional and nice. By default, their beds have duvets stuffed with feather (down-filled), but they were able to arrange a hypoallergenic replacement for me. The loby is gorgeous, with free coffee, water and hygiene products. I loved the decor and quiet, calm atmosphere. We greatly appreciated spacious room and bathroom, tea, air purifier, onsen, and coin washing machines - availability of the last two was also displayed on the TV. Just a very minor suggestion: not being able to open a single window in the entire hotel feels claustrophobic. Once we entered the hotel, we had no access to outdoor air. Even the window in our room was locked, which was neither at a street level, nor dangerously high, so it made no sense not being able to let any air in for 4 days. Onsen has a window to the tiny garden with fresh air, but it is blocked as well.

Beautiful hotel in a quiet part of Kyoto. Location is great, centered to all major tourist attractions, easy walk to plenty of restaurants and nishiki market. Hotel area is extremely quiet, the rooms were a great size for japan and very clean and comfortable. Lobby has complimentary coffee which was a great treat to start your day. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Onsen (gender specific) was a great way to relax after a long day of walking. 10 out of 10 would recommend this hotel. It was a perfect stay! Nothing - it was a perfect stay.

Extremely well located. Not very far from anywhere we tried to go. Lobby is nice enough. Rooms are a good size, although a bit sparse. Bathrooms are outdated and cramped. Windows are blocked somehow so you may feel a bit claustrophobic. We wanted to try the breakfast but it didn't seem like there were many vegetarian options. Overall, i had higher expectations because I had heard good things about the Mitsui Garden brand. And for the high price we paid too!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful!! Their Nespresso machine was magical. The rooms were spacious and location was near some of our favorite gems. The property was quiet and well maintained. Extremely clean and in a great location.

Great location, beautiful lobby area, very nice Onsen, comfortable beds and very helpful staff. Great value too. Would absolutely stay again - Definitely recommend. Nothing really!
