The staff were incredibly friendly and professional — they even reserved kimonos for us, which was a really nice touch. The room was modern, clean, and very comfortable. We especially loved that breakfast was delivered to our room every morning. The location is excellent and very convenient. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

EVERYTHING!! Since the moment we walked in, the very attentive staff, how clean and spacious the rooms were, we loved this hotel!!! Walking distance to a couple of stations, convenience stores, tourist attractions! I would say this was our favorite stay during our Japan trip! Would stay here again! N/A

Location was good, short taxi drive from anywhere. Staff was amazing, helping with luggage forwarding services and recommendations (restaurants, visit spots, etc).

This was a very chic and comfortable place to stay. Very clean in a great location. Our towels and cups were swapped out every day, which I very much appreciated. I was very happy with the espresso machine and kettle in the room. That was a nice touch. I was very happy with this hotel. I might skip the breakfast next time, since there are so many cafes nearby. Breakfast included sandwiches, fruit or yummy madeleine cookies and yogurt. It was good, but not super necessary for my husband and I.

Kyoto Itoya Hotel was easily the highlight of our stay across Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo. The room was spacious even with luggage fully opened, the bathroom was clean and well sized, the bed was genuinely comfortable and four pillows felt like luxury. While the location required longer train rides and a bit of walking, the quiet streets and meticulous, thoughtful service made it more than worth it. The only real drawbacks were its tucked away alley location and the fifteen minute walk from the station. The lift also stops only on even floors, so our odd floor room meant an extra flight of stairs, but beyond that, it was easily the best stay of our Japan trip.

The hotel staff went above and beyond to help us. We left some goods at the hotel and they were kind enough to send it via Yamato to our next hotel (at our expense of course). Cristian was particularly helpful. We were really glad with his help, care and dedication.

We loved this hotel, it was clean, nicely decorated with such a nice feel to it. Location was great, such a good little neighborhood with small cafes and shops all close by. The staff was so friendly and helpful. This was such a great choice for us. nothing

The location was great, very friendly staff, and cozy boutique hotel Everything was great but our one recommendation would be to have more storage in the rooms for clothes and luggage.

Breakfast was wonderful, great attention to small details and very helpful and friendly staff.

I LOVED this property. We booked the "basement" though it never once felt like a basement. It had a beautiful little patio with a firepit and the bedroom was so spacious and comfortable. This is the perfect hotel if you are traveling in a group of four, as it was plenty of space for our suitcases and the two beds were quite large! I love that the shower and toilet are also separate so no one is left waiting to get ready or use the restroom while the other is in there. The customer service is also top notch! Everyone was super sweet and welcoming. They were extremely accomodating and even held out bags for the day we were leaving since we had some time to spend after check out! I highly highly recommend this place. It's not far to all the attractions in Kyoto and I loved how peaceful and quiet it was. Nothing, I would stay here again!
