Our Semi-Suite room was exceptionally huge and equipped with welcome drinks and chocolates :) Bed was huge and very comfortable. Location was great. We loved everything about this hotel. Location was excellent and the we enjoyed our stay! We wish that the staff could speak english or use a translator to be prompt in responding.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Dirty bathroom walls. Absolutely disgusting with stains.
-
The building was nice, big and authentic space, nice welcome gift and toiletries, very good bathroom with bathtub. Nothing comes to mind.
-
The Japanese Breakfast was so fun! The staff was amazing. We wish we could have stayed longer to experience more of the hotel. Next time we will try the in room dining!
-
Very good location, nice staff even if we were language challenged, and the room was beautiful. Great amenities. And the restaurant was delicious, compliments to the chef. Love everything.

The location on the quiet street in front of the park was nice, size of the room decent. It had extensive amenities, includibg face cream and lotion, as well as free drinks in the fridge. Bed wad comfortable. The distribution of the hotel and rooms is strange. They have an improvised ramp to get your luggage to the elevator. While the hotel and rooms are clean, elevator looks and smells dirty. We had a nice jacuzzi bathtub, and a tiny shower separated by a cloth curtain, which was wierd. Also the Booking.com does not show you the exact room you are booking, and all rooms are different, so we did not end up with the room on the picture of the reservation. The staff wad not proactive about asking if we needed anything or proving recommendations. Might as well been self check-in.

A beautiful boutique hotel with excellent Japanese touch. Very spacious room and comfortable bed. Close to public transportation. You can choose Japanese and Western breakfast. We enjoyed out stay very much. Not a complain, but it would be nice if there is more option with Englich channel.

Huge comfortable rooms with super comfy mattresses. Big room for Japan standards. Excellent amenities like toothbrushes vanity kit etc They had nothing on the rooftop but weirdly layes out chairs

Big space. Good location. Not many tourists. The bed is too soft. The window curtain is not good — very early the room was bright.

Every room is differently designed - which I liked. But make sure to mention your desired room before booking. It’s around the corner of the castle and it’s a very nice area with lot of cafes and little restaurants. The hotel needs little renovation: stains all over the carpets, scratched suefaces, the sofas in the lobby fall apart and are ripped at the bottom.

The room was amazing with the largest bed I've ever slept in. Very comfortable, and while a little bit away from the Kyoto station area, was easy to get to by bus. It was also close to the Imperial gardens which are well worth walking around.
-
Stylish hotel with large rooms and friendly service The hotel is is not up to date with maintenance. Wear and tear is showing in the bathroom and in common areas of the hotel.

The location was nice and staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was large and mattress was comfortable. The room was very strange and not warm or inviting at all. The walls are in desperate need of a repaint and the room itself felt kind of like a corridor/open area that had been converted to a room. Everything was very thrown together, the pillows were horribly thin and the doona inside the doona cover was protruding and was very stained. The shower had a curtain and didn't drain well at all, I had to unplug the humidifyer that was in the bathroom for fear of water getting underneath it. The toilet had a smell which was also unpleasant. I had read this was a boutique hotel and maybe the other rooms are nice but this one (room 403) felt like cross between a hospital room and a campground toilet block.

Need curtains in the room ... sometimes lights outside shone through the paper doors all night. It was a fabulous stay ... just the light shining into the room at night and the coffee bafs in the room didn't provide a strong coffee.

Probably one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in Japan for now. Extra spacious room, big bath with jacuzzi, unique design for each room, super comfy beds and pillows and great location. The room was on the ground floor and it was noisy sometimes at night. The view out of the window might be better too.

Everything was amazing (staff, room, amenities, breakfast and room service).
