Incredibly helpful staff! Very kind. They helped send my luggage forward, called taxis for us, offered advice and did everything possible to make our stay as comfortable and seamless as possible.

This hotel was sooo gorgeous, and breakfast was the best I’ve had at any hotel!

I enjoyed all their common area spaces where you could listens to music or grab a drink. The staff was very friendly as well. It was a beautiful place I would love to come back.

Great hotel and great location, very clean and new, nice onzen but missing a pool for swimming

Loved the curry and Nutella. Minestrone soup was an interesting breakfast option. Would have like eggs and maybe some cheese. The protein options for vegetarians was quite limited.
-
Really nice and helpful service Nice Japanese style room Good location Only one big minus: you hear every noise from the hall

After a long day we arrived early and were greeted by a very smiley, helpful gentleman on the desk who sorted out luggage storage until we could check in. This was the largest hotel room that we had in Japan. Very clean, comfortable bed and a lovely balcony overlooking the park. There is a fantastic onsen although not natural springs and it’s free for hotel guests. There are several little communal areas. We enjoyed the music zone with record players and a selection of vinyl discs. There’s also an area with games and a great space for children with a table tennis table and mini ball pit. The staff were very helpful and kind. Helped with our luggage transfer when we struggled with adding the forwarding address. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice and can be taken out to eat in your own room if you wish. It’s a great location. Near a train with one stop taking you to Kyoto station and to Arashiyama in the other direction.

Drinks and snacks but limited choices. The cheese was good. Not a fan of the corn nuts and stone chocolate.
-
Very large choice of Japanese and Continental food for the breakfast (it was a excellent opportunity to try it) Familial spirit and mix of local citizens and tourists

Well situated, with plenty of things to do near and good service within hotel (little library, music room, coffee/tea/drinks in common areas, pajamas etc). It creates a home feeling away from home and park in front makes it even more special. Staff are kind and very helpful. One of the sushi restos recommended in the hotel map didn’t allow kids - so we ended wasting time going there for dinner. we found it strange, as hotel is very kids friendly. The rest was perfect!

Hotel had most of the things I needed. Hotel was modest but good value.

The hotel over-all was much nicer than we expected. Huge room with a balcony that overlooked a park, very clean and beautiful. The food in the hotel was fantastic and the hotel staff was so friendly and helpful. They helped us with ordering a taxi, which made things easier.

VERY short time allowed to have breakfast. We did not even understand the breakfast system at first. Pitty. I understand that japanese eat very litle, but is difficult for a tourist that is tired and hungry after long walks (and wants to enjoy the holiday) to adapt to this. I keep the 10 score because I can not give something in between 9 and 10.

Amazing location near the main station but in a park. Stay here if you have kids. Still great if you don’t. The breakfast is the best i’ve had at a hotel in Japan.

Large room, quiet location, amenities such as free coffee, water, rooftop patio Nothing

Hotel has a lot of fun amenities, the Sento was a big plus for a relaxing time. It is in front of a park woch makes it quiet and peaceful. Great breakfast. It is in Umekoji outside of the very busy areas but still able to get to the main areas walking or a shot cab. The JR train is close which is also a plus. Our room could have used a small closet to put away some things. Some rooms might have it but ours didn’t.

Park, train museum and sea aquarium nearby. A very family friendly hotel with many amenities nearby. Hotel is close to station and is just one stop away from Kyoto Station.
