We had an excellent overall experience staying at Hotel GOCO. The rooms were clean. The staff and owners went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. The location is convenient, and we'd definitely stay here again.

Great staff. Great facilities. Our room was very clean and spacious. The hotel itself was close to public transport. The lady checking us in walked us to our room and explained how the washing machine and the dry worked because it was in Japanese. Every time we walked in the building we were greeted with a smile. When we left the gentleman working the front desk ensured we were going to the train station. 10/10 would stay again

Location to food and shops Bed could be better

Hotel GOCO was fantastic for our stay in Kyoto. The location was prime! Right in the center of the city. The staff was amazing and very accommodating. Their English was very good. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to people. There was a washing machine in the room that came in so handy during our stay, and their drying system in the bathroom worked very well.

Unbelievably clean, very affordable, the sweetest staff & the most amazing location. It doesn’t get better than this! Nothing -it’s amazing!

Staff was friendly and helpful. The location was within steps of both Nishiki Market and main roads. The room was spacious and comfortable and included laundry facilities in the room.

Hotel was centrally located, quiet, and a good value. My son even forgot a ring in the room and they contacted us to let us know and shipped it ahead to our next hotel. Tremendous service - highly recommend.

Well located, small by ver well organized even a washing machine and small kitchen - was there for one day so did not use but can be very convenient Staff was great wanted to use the delivery luggage but staff told me to save money and use locker at station Nothing

This hotel is as good as it gets. It is in a perfect location right next to the Nishiki market and train stations. The room and the facilities were exceptionally clean. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The owner does a fantastic job of running the place and making it feel like he has invited to your home rather than a hotel. Nothing

This was probably the most efficiently designed hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in. It was comfortable, clean and had every amenity you could hope for: kettle, microwave, fridge, washing machine and a shower room that operates as a clothes dryer. The staff was incredibly helpful and even reached out to arrange getting an item that was left behind in our room. It was also well situated in the city for getting around. I will definitely be returning to stay when in Kyoto again! Nothing

The owners are so kind and helpful! The hotel is small and cosy. Very good located adjcent to nishiki market and close to Pontocho Alley. Laundry machine in thecroom. Perfect placecto stay !

My daughter and I loved everything about hotel GOCO! The best part were the amazing owners and staff! Yoshi was so kind and helped us figure out our travel plans sightseeing and was so helpful with anything we needed. We loved all the staff! Location was Central to everything! Nothing

Hands down the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Japan, ever! Wonderful staff who treat you more like family than guests and can assist you with the best options for traveling to your next destination (they even have maps!). Very clean room, staff even escorts you to do an initial room intro, all the amenities I needed were there including a robe / slippers. They even guided me on how to use the in room washing machine and air dry system. One other big convenience is their free filtered water dispenser in the lobby. Worth every penny and I’d definitely stay there again and recommend to others!

Location is great. You walk straight outside and you are basically at the Nishiki Markets! They are located at the end of the street about a 2 minute walk away. Not far to walk to Subway approx 10 minutes. Despite being so close to everything, its in a quiet location which is great. Plenty of dining options and shops all close by within a 5-10 minute walk. Bonus to have a washing machine, came in very handy. Bed and pillow are extremely hard, was difficult for sleeping. Pillow is size of a chair cushion and super hard. Constant unpleasant smell in the room, we think its due to the kitchen drain having no waste drainage. You can open the window slightly which helped with the smell. Didn't use any kitchen facilities so cannot comment on that. Small room but big enough for the 2 of us with bags. Staff very friendly and have good English and they helped us with forward luggage services.
