The breakfast was excellent, one of the best hotel buffet breakfasts we had in Japan. They had a varied menu for many different travelers. Be warned that it can get busy the later in the morning you go. So we always went first thing in the morning, no issues! There are different cuisine availability at different restaurants in the hotel. For the most part, we went to the main buffet that had the largest variation of food. We also ate at the Japanese restaurant for a curated experience. Both are excellent in their presentation and food. The elevators are a bit slow at times.

Breakfast is not that good. There are many things to choose from, but it feels like they just put out a lot of items rather than focusing on quality.

The staff were helpful, the location was great, and the facilities were clean and comfortable. We liked the size of the room and ease of using the TV. The air filter was helpful to cool the room somewhat. We did find that the room was a bit too warm, and we were unable to control the temperature on the thermostat. Also, the beds could have been a little softer.

Great breakfast, with lots of choices, and plain omelets made to order. Right next to the UNESCO World Heritage Buddhist temples (Nishi Hogan-ji). Entrance is fee. Amazing temples within walking distance (600 m).

The breakfast option was lacking unfortunately, the "regular" breakfast was very chaotic and often items were completely out. The Japanese breakfast was a better value, but it was a set menu and didn't offer much choice. However, the Japanese dining room was much better in terms of noise and very relaxed (not chaotic).

generous room with lovely bed. Shower room is a great concept. initially location seems not great, but after to access all angles of the city it is actually very central and works very well (we walk everywhere). Staff are extremely courteous. It is perhaps a little dated - but in a nice generous way. Its all BIG.

Great location, amenities, service, free shuttle to Kyoto main station was a bonus. Breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. Room was large and comfortable. Lots of places to walk and wander in the hotel and surroundings. Just loved this stay and would highly recommend.

Very dark ambiance, the garden area as pretty but the rest of the hotel was very dark and stuffy.

Clean. Beautiful lobby, with atrium waterfall and rock gardens, calm and peaceful . Good location. Friendly staff. Good breakfast, many western and local options. Omelettes cooked with showy skill. Nice salad bar at breakfast. No fried eggs offered. No add-ins to the plain omelettes. Only cheese for Salad was sliced cheddar, would like feta, Parmesan, or cottage cheese.

It was so good to have the shuttle service from and to the JR train station . Great location, great restaurants inside, very cofi rooms and beds!
