Liked that it was right on the bus line Wished it was a little closer to Kyoto station

the price was relatively high compared to other locations and could be more reasonable.

Great staff and service. Room was clean and all amenities were easily accessible. I had a great stay.

The windows couldn`t be opened. The room felt stuffy and we really needed fresh air, especially in the morning. We also noticed that there was a thick layer of dust under the beds.

It’s very clean and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. There is a proper washing machine where you can wash and dry your clothes. Although the location is not far away from the touristic center of Kyoto, the transportation options are limited and you need to walk everyday for about 30 minutes (from Nishiki Market to the hotel). The transportation in Kyoto is mostly buses, and you always need to wait, and they are always full.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The availability of a suitcase scale was a thoughtful touch that made travel preparation much easier. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, and the bathroom amenities were of good quality.

Spacious, clean, easy to access and away from the Skyscrapers. Not so far there are really nice restaurants. The only thing missing was a sink in the bathroom and some place to hang towels. Anyway it was very comfortable.

The elevator is annoying ?, there are no stairs so it takes a bit to go up and down

I like how big the room is, the bed and the cr. They even have a mini living room with sofa to chill while eating and watching. They even have a nespresso machine for your daily dose of coffee! Yes not instant coffee. Bus stop is just infront of the hotel which makes it more convenient to travel around kyoto. There's really nothing within the area except for 7-11 and a restaurant(Royal Host) across the street.

There are no stairs only lift to go up and down so at times I needed to wait to go down or up

This hotel was an incredible experience in every way. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating with luggage delivery and room assistance. The room itself was way more spacious than I had anticipated. The large restroom, spacious beds, and couch were so needed during our long stay. There is a laundromat right next door, the bus stop is right in front of the entrance , and there is an amazing ramen spot across the street. Definitely my favorite hotel in Japan! N/A

This is my second time in Rinn Horikawa Gojo and I just love the hotel. It’s near bus stops. Just outside the hotel is a bus stop so it’s really convenient. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The size of the room is big compared to other hotel and the price is amazing. Would definitely come back again if I ever come back to Kyoto. Also thank you for the room upgrade it was an amazing surprise. None

Very clean, great sized room and useful facilities such as a microwave and washer dryer available in the building.

A little on the outskirts of the CBD—so away from the hustle and bustle—meant we got our steps in (and a few taxis) back and forth to sites. However, there were a number of gems locally to eat and drink that we discovered because of this and a bit of calm from the madness of the CBD/Touristy areas. Staff were helpful, friendly and polite - calling us taxis when needed, helping with bikes etc... The room was a decent size for Japan, shower/bathroom, room amenities etc...all good Bed wasnt that comfortable. Ironing board was just that - a small board, which made it difficult to iron a dress or shirt. And I hate not being able to open a window for fresh air, especially when the heat/cooling was hard to control - seemed freezing cold or hot in the room.

It was very clean, professional staff and great room ! Everything was great !

I like staff members' friendliness and welcoming attitudes towards guests. The noise on the road sometimes bother my sleeping, but I can sleep well after midnight.

The staff were super friendly, the hotel was easily accessible to most parts of Kyoto and was only a short walk to the main station. The room was well sized with good amenities and was in general a lovely place to stay in Kyoto! The available extras in the hotel lobby were also very handy and were consistently restocked. Had both a shower and bath, in the form of a wet room. The toilet is separate as well as the sink, allowing for more efficient usage of both. Everything was clearly labelled with instructions of use, so easily to understand and operate. The room was clean and tidy, with the cleaning staff leaving our room in lovely condition and respecting items we had left out between cleans. I personally didn't have an issue, but my partner mentioned the mattress was a bit firm, so may be one to note for those who prefer softer mattresses.
