Family next door was noisy.

Atmosphere, facilities, no shoes policy, tatami floors, onsen, breakfast, midnight ramen, massage chairs, free popsicles in relax zone.

We stayed here for 8 nights and had an absolutely fantastic experience. Location is fantastic - only about a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station, which made day trips easy and getting around effortless. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout our stay. The rooms are beautiful and spotlessly clean, with everything you might need. We had quite large bags and still had plenty of space, so it was very comfortable even over a longer stay. The onsen was simply amazing - the perfect way to relax after a full day of walking. It's open through the night until 10 AM, which was ideal for us as we liked to go both late at night and early in the morning. The complimentary probiotic drinks and ice creams afterwards were a lovely touch. Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had, and the dining area is beautiful. The free laundry facilities were a lifesaver on a long trip, and small touches like the loaner umbrellas showed real thoughtfulness. Highly recommended - one of my favorite hotels I've ever stayed at.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hot springs were excellent, and the complimentary laundry facilities, including a women-only laundry room, were a thoughtful and convenient feature. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. We would happily stay here again.

Location was good for walking from Kyoto train station and near bus stops and restaurants/shopping. Would be good if the hotel offered walking directions on website from Kyoto station.
-
The onsen had so many features and was rarely crowded.
-
We love this chain, it’s a great intro into Japanese ryuoken, and the city version. Love seeing everyone so happy in the yukata each night for free ramen
-
The room was very small.
-
The property was incredibly clean, with a wonderfully calm environment.

No shoes so it was clean Could not take advantage of the bathing facilities due to having tattoos. Did not see that anywhere in the facilities description. I thought this was a traditional ryokan. Not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn’t a high rise Dormy hotel. Rooms so small no real room to open bags.

Wonderful convenient location - 10 minute walk from the Kyoto Station. Having the onsen open through the night is so nice to help end the day, and I appreciated the "shampoo bar"! You can pay for the breakfast buffet the morning of, so you don't need to book breakfast for your whole stay in case you want to experience breakfast off premise. The free noodles at night is also a nice bonus. I wish the onsen could be open during the day, as there were a few days where I was feeling worn out and wanted to rest in the hotel.
-
excellent onsens and amenities included in price like free ice cream, teas and coffee, nightly ramen and massage chairs, the kids loved it…i also loved the great breakfast, laundry was free (dryer only 200Y) and tatami mats everywhere in hotel! would like a ice plunge for women’s side onsen, only mens side had one

Breakfast was authentic and had a variety of foods for everyone. The hotel needs updating and renovation. We didn’t know we can get The bus to the hotel so we had to walk up 20 minutes with suitcases or the hotel.
-
The onsen inside the hotel were amazing after a long day of walking around. The family room was spacious and the whole hotel had tatami mats throughout. It was a nice amenity to have free ice cream and ramen in the evening as well as massage chairs. I would definitely recommend staying here if visiting Kyoto.
-
Loved the traditional Japanese experience. From the time we arrived, we felt transported to another culture. The staff were knowledgeable and accommodating. The onsen was amazing and the breakfast was delightful. My 7 year old daughter said it’s the best place ever! NA

Night ramen, ice cream , self serve drinks, massage chair and the different area of hot spring bath were all excellent. It would be nice to have some fruits instead of ice cream.
-
I loved the decorative touches throughout the property and the great included amenities such as the massage chairs and post-onsen ice cream. The breakfast buffet was amazing as was the onsen.
-
Food, amenities, location and cleanliness. Staff were very polite and friendly. Love this place and will comeback for sure.
-
The staff are super friendly. There was one lady who wasn't quite nice but everyone else was. The room is clean and spacious. The onsen area is heavenly. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this hotel, the experience was amazing. Everything was quite nice. Nothing bad to say.

Our room had a poor smell (like body odour) when we brought this up to the staff and asked if we could change rooms they said that this was the smell of the tatami floors and that all the rooms smelt like that. We had stayed in rooms with tatami floors before and they did not smell like this. Once we opened up some windows it helped a little, but wish the staff would have been a bit more accommodating rather than suggesting this was normal.
