ALA HOTEL KYOTO

As first time tourist in Japan. The front desk crew was receptive , helpful, courteous and hotel was exceptionally clean. I truly enjoyed the sauna , onsen. They made whole experience lovely, comfortable. We literally had to extend our stay in that hotel because it was soo beutiful and cozy. Arigato to all staff. They are amazing

Very clean facilities. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Loved it here! Highly recommend and would stay here again!

Proximity and cleanliness. I had to pay $30 for early check in. Also, they didn’t provide iron or steamers. You had to pay for that.

Room was great. Nicely laid out, spacious for Japan. Would have been nice to darken it a little more. Light came in from the bathrooms. Appreciated the onsen. Overall very relaxing stay. Great respite after an active day of sightseeing. Laundry facilities. Many machines were broken. Also, unfortunately experienced men in the women’s only laundry quite a few times, even a man by himself going through my laundry.

Location was great, a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station. The staff were super friendly. The rooms were amazing - a separate toilet, bath, and lavatory area, which makes prepping for the day easier and much quicker. The rooms were clean, but would have been more cleaner if we have not found random pieces of hair in the shower area when we checked in on our first day.

Great location and easy to walk to from Kyoto station. Comfy bed and very nice staffs. They also have luggage storage provided. Convenience store is nearby.

Staff and location. Very near Kyoto station. Laundry is exceptionally good - clean and separates between men and women. NA - everything is good and can’t any negative feedback

The amenities were just over the top, wonderful spa or public bath with all kinds of body lotions , moisture milk, moister lotion, steam sauna etc. rooms were large, nicely done with good beds. None

Facilities were spotless and the staff was overwhelmingly professional and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and spacious compared to most of what you'd find in Japan. With just a 10 min walk from Kyoto station, it is well placed if for leaving the area. However, there isn't much to do within walking distance. The breakfast also left quite a bit to be desired. There were a lot of option but everything tasted pretty mediocre. Not worth the extra cost in my opinion.

Super clean rooms, great amenities, hotel is very close to many attractions and it's super close to the Kyoto station.

On another note: My sister left her wallet in her room by accident and Mr. Timothy Tse with the hotel was very quick to repond and assist us in getting it back. Just dont ask for another key.

The Hotel is perfect! Just walking distance from Kyoto station. We booked ALA hotel for keeping it as base for our commute to kyoto temples, osaka, universal studios and it was too good. There is a 7-Eleven just in front of the hotel. Kyoto Yadobashi is 3 minute walk from hotel which has Uniqlo, GU etc for shopping and also a food court. Hotel is quite strict about the Onsen timing which is a bit pity that they close the Onsen at 23:00. Considering, mayn travellers come late after their hectic and long walking day and just to find out the onsen is already closed. We have stayed in other hotels where onsen usually opens at least until next mornin 10AM. the breakfast at hotel is good for one day but it is same menu for all days. We skipped breakfast twice because of the menu.

Laundry

The pillows and being able to hear the hallway and next door neighbours through the thin walls.

Not enough vegetarian options so skipped breakfast Everything was v good since we were there only 1 night

Very near Kyoto station. Room is big. Have bath salts that smell really good.
