Common area

The space was nice. Location was also good. You have to do a lot on your own. It’s nice having extra towels readily available. Not many staff on duty.
-
I liked the location being close to the Imperial Palace and park. I was able to get up early and walk the park grounds. But it is a pretty quiet area so if you want to be close to the action, this may not be it. We also loved that there was a laundry room where we could wash our cloths. The host was also very nice. We ended up wishing that we had chosen a more central location.

How clean and minimalistic was super great
-
The only window of the 2nd floor room was not leading outside but to an outside hallway which had its "windows" filled with wooden planks. That meant that there was no natural light, it was impossible to air the room and a little sense of privacy. Also the personless check-in was unnecessarily cumbersome with inconsistent instructions. It was impossible to have the fridge turned on when sleeping because it was so loud.

Love the fully accessible kitchen complete with all dining amenities, appliances and laundry at property. Room was a little small but we were out most of the day anyway. Right next to the Imperial Palace. The reception counter near Kyoto Station and the free shuttle is so so helpful. Staff was exceptional and friendly, always smiling and ready to help. Thank you!! Room was a little warm due to centralized system, unable to adjust the room temp so it was rather warm during our sleep, we had to open the window open a little to let some air in but it was quite noisy outside too.

We loved the location in a calm neighborhood with cafes nearby and the park. Getting around by bus or metro was easy. Appreciated the shuttle from the station to the hotel. The amenities provided in the room were good, including a foot massager. There wasn’t an easy way to set up our luggage in the room, it was tight. But we made do and given we were only in the room to sleep and get ready, it was fine.

The room was a bit small but it met our needs. The washing machine was always in use.
-
The type of facilities this stay accommodated was really nice as the room had its own tv and bathroom within it which was very nice! as it's location is very close to the cod of Kyoto
-
Great location, close to Imperial Gardens, lots of shops, restaurants and subway. The lack of foodstuffs, beverages etc. It looked like there had been a restaurant or breakfast/cafe area in the front, but now it was just tables and old equipment. Doesn’t look very welcoming or nice. Lowers the first impression of the place.
-
The bathroom door opens outward towards the living area, so we had to learn ninja tricks to circumvent it. The slippers provided didn't seem very clean (as they were reusable plastic slippers), so we used our own slippers.
-
I love the location as it is in a quiet neighborhood but close to some cafe, restos, kombinis, and subways. Just struggling inside the room with our luggages but other than that we had a wonderful stay. They have complete amenities and even had a weighing scale for the luggages.

Highly recommend for a few days in Kyoto. Size was good for two people- since it was a short stay we only had backpacks. If you have large luggage it may be too small. Staff at the reception counter by Kyoto Station were nice and helpful, plus there is a free shuttle to the hotel which is great.

Very good

Clean, decently sized room in a peaceful area cross the road from the Kyoto Gyoen National Garden. The hotel is also greatly located by a subway line (Marutamachi Station). We made use of the shuttle service, from Kyoto station, the reception is just across the road from the station. Check-in was not a problem at the hotel, as we received the instructions before our arrival & the instructions were easy to follow. We were on the ground floor, so there some noise of people coming and going 7am and around 10pm. But we would choose this location again, as it was very convenient for us. The hotel could put some carpeting near the ground floor & elevator/stairs to minimize the sound of luggage that travels to the ground floor rooms.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The check-in was simple and the service was excellent

The rooms were clean but I didn’t feel like the reception area or anywhere outside the room was that tidy. It felt messy. Plus the vending machine wasn’t working which is hard when you want to drink water. Also, the self check in and check out thing is not nice…also the rooms are too small.

Clean, and a good location near the Imperial Palace. Actually, a nice walking distance from the Nishiki Market and the Castle. Subway station was two blocks away. There was also a Mart only a few blocks away that had god food choices. There is no staff, only a night security person. And they only gave coffee packets the first day, which was annoying. It was the only place we stayed in all of Japan that didn’t offer complimentary coffee packets.

It is a very nice hotel, very clean and comfortable. There is no staff around for what looks like a normal hotel, the self-check in is a little weird considering there is a traditional front desk.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel does not provide any suitcase shipping service. They dismissed us by sending up to the local FamilyMart who were unable to help us, and we had to drag the suitcases to a nearby shipping service. The location is good.
