Location was alright, staff interaction was limited so no comments. But the main issue was the cleanliness of EVERYTHING, beds and blankets had stains, floor was dirty and just a very uncomfortably dirty place.

Price matched the quality. If you are on a tight budget it works

Location Walls were paper thin. I listened to snoring all night. If I would of known I would ever of stayed

It felt very traditional and the location was great. Very thin walls and doors, it needs some refreshment, no bedsheets

The traditional vibe! Personally, I think if you’re going to another country, you should get a taste of tradition!!! Obviously sleeping on the floor, not in a comfortable bed isn’t as comfortable, nor do you get a bunch of accommodations! So the score is realistic! But that’s what I wanted!

Location was perfect, it certainly has a nice classic charm and we didn't have any trouble with the lovely lady who seems to run the place. We mistook the day we were suppose to check out and she was very nice about it. Just make sure you pay your property taxes as soon as you can and I think it will all be fine. The room was rather large and the air conditioning worked like a charm. If you require perfection in cleanliness, you ought to find somewhere else. The stairwell is also very small so if you have lots of luggage or large luggage it may be a challenge to get up. The bathroom is small, very small which also may be a no-go for some but it was perfect for me and my sister.

Location was close to the train station and there were a few restaurants nearby The place was a bit rundown. The heater worked but definitely didn't put out heat to match the temperature setting. The linens were old and stained. The upside is that it provided us with a place to sleep.

Stay here all the time because of how much I enjoy it. Not right next to the station but in a great location that makes it easy to get around to a bunch of various transportation options and sights (especially if you're a walker like I am). Very friendly staff and quiet building.

The property has a great location, very close to the station. The concept is self-service but easy to manage. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. There’s no elevator, which can be inconvenient when carrying luggage. Also, before check-out time, a housekeeper knocked on my door and entered the room without waiting for my response. She asked me for more money even though I had already paid. It made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe.

It is near the bus stop and family mart After cleaning the room, the staff let the room Opened and the key still in the door

Convenient location. Good price. Our room had a private bathroom with a tub. Nice to experience the tatami mats and futon beds. Toothbrush provided. Mini fridge and microwave was nice. A/C worked well. Room was a nice size but bathroom was tiny. Very narrow spiral stairs. Fine for us since we only had a backpack but it would be challenging if we had luggage (no elevator). There was no top sheet, blanket or duvet. Not a big deal but no robe provided.

Location was fine. Traditional style interior was nice. Cockroaches in room. Moldy smell. Bed linens did not appear well-cleaned. Very slow wifi. Unresponsive staff.

Internet could have been better

nice style, very clean an quiet

Great location. A short taxi ride away from Tokyo Station or 15 min walk. The price is very good for Kyoto and you get decent value for money. Big room, good aircon and bathroom (heated toilet seat is great). Other people have commented on the shortcomings of this place (old lady entering your room without permission, a few cockroaches, cat in heat outside meowing all night, and terrible terrible terrible WiFi). Did I say WiFi doesn’t work??!!!

The back of the chairs would have been better with some cushioning.

Since its old building some things were not renewed and broken like hairdryer. Also there was some miscomunication with stuff but perhaps its language barrier

Room is cute, location ok. The tatami in the room was dusty. I couldn't tell which was the futon which was the blanket, they were same thickness. Too thin as mattress and too thick as blanket And one of them has no sleeve and looked icky. I was actually itchy during the night. No standard pillow. Just a small pillow and block pillow. There was also noise from the water heater outside and rattling sound from somewhere in the bathroom. It was a twin private room. The room didn't feel clean like elsewhere I've stayed.

The location The room is dirty, especially the water bottle on 2F, the bathroom mat, and the desk. The futon and blanket covers didn’t look that clean and comfortable. There are boxes for tea bags but I saw only 1 pack. The staff didn’t store them up, even for that whole day we stayed there and next morning.
