I will return to this location next Spring because the staff is friendly and helpful, and the location near the train station, a grocery store, and restaurants is perfect. The walk into town is easy and pleasant. It's a wonderful place to stay to access the Cinque Terre! The televisions and room door locks need to be upgraded. The breakfast was plentiful on the carbs but needs more protein. They provide 3 different breads/pastries per person, and I felt that I wasted most of it each morning.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days, then went to Genoa, and returned to this hotel for another 2 days. My first room was not as comfortable as the second room that overlooked the cafe next door. But, in both rooms, I awoke to the aroma of baking bread. How do they do that? It was delightful! All the ladies working at this hotel are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and offered a variety of selections. The location near the train station is perfect. In the first room where I stayed for 3 nights, there is a slight step up to the bathroom, and I was so concerned I would trip on it. This needs to be addressed. The televisions need upgrading.

An elevator to all floors and we had a balcony with a great view. Good sized shower with removable wand, strong water pressure and held temperature even. Very comfortable super king size bed. A sit-down staff-served breakfast, with fruit, yogurt, crosissant, bun, cake, juices and choice of hot and cold beverages. The hotel’s location was very convenient to train station and only 15 minute walk to ferry. Staff were friendly and helpful, daily maid service. Piddling I know but our room was missing a garbage can in the main sleeping area.

The breakfast staff was wonderful. The room was very clean Our room could have been a little bigger.

Security was great with key entry only. Great restaurants near by.

Facilities & location

Very convenient for railway station (the window of our room at the back of the hotel overlooked a platform !). Very helpful staff. The trains were quite noisy.

Room is too small

The location is central and very close to central train station and also downtown. The breakfast is good.

Met with friendly receptionist and the hotel is super close to the train station (2 minute walk to the left as you exit). We needed to check out of our previous hotel rather early and Hotel Venezia kindly held our bags at 9:30am until we could check in at 3pm. We returned in the afternoon and someone had already brought our bags up to our room. The room was clean, had all the amenities you need including AC, 4 pillows for a queen bed, a safe, and a small refrigerator as well as an actual working towel bar that heated up. It’s super close to numerous restaurants in downtown La Spezia. The booking.com site doesn’t indicate breakfast being included, but it is and it’s open 7:30-9:30. It’s not a buffet-you sit down and a server brings you a croissant, cake, roll, yogurt, juice, water and your choice of coffee. Cereal, cookies and pastry toppings are also available. For the location, friendly staff, AC, free breakfast, and decent room, I would recommend staying here! The locks on both the main door and bathroom door locked, but were a bit fidgety as they’re very old. Shower is tiny.

Updated old building with air and breakfast. Close to train station. Small yet efficient room. No mirror outside the bathroom. No tissues.

Nice cosy hotel close to train station and walkway through city to waterfront. Rooms are modest but clean and comfortable. Staff are welcoming and helpful with advice on local things to do. Nothing specific.

Location to the train station was a plus for us! It was a great location for exploring the Cinque Terre by train and ferry! Staff was great. Beds were comfortable enough but pillows not so much.
