Lagoa Hotel

Great stay overall, good breakfast and central to most places.

Parking spaces directly in front of the hotel. Breakfast was good. The beds were ok. Pool needs repair. The room was so poorly laid out that we couldn't open the wardrobe, which also contained the safe. The bathroom was tiny and had no shelf for bath towels, toiletry bag, etc. Only twin beds available.

It was ok. Overall just an OK stay, nothing exceptional but you get what you pay for. Unfortunately the Restaurant/ bar was closed on arrival at 9pm. Washroom was not particularly clean and there was a lot of floor damage due to water. Unsure why it wasn’t fixed prior to booking someone in the room.

Location was good but challenging to see the hotel entrance until you passed it. Microwave available was nice. The staff were helpful by moving me and doing an extra cleaning when I reported mold. Mold in the room. A lot by the bottom of the sliding glass door and in the bathroom. They moved me ro another room which still had mold in the bathroom but not as much as the other room. They did try to clean it but it didn't really get rid of the mold.

Everything was great. My only caveat was that I had to carry my bicycle up 2 flights of stairs, including luggage, as it didnt fit in the elevator.

The staff were extremely helpful and the shower was excellent ? There is a restaurant which looked nice but I never used it so I can't comment on the food. The kitchenette has all the basics and includes a 2 burner hob. has all the basics and includes 2-burner hob. Great central location, just a few minutes walk from the bus station Concrete stairs up the apartment are steep to navigate if you have large pieces of luggage. The room looked a bit "tired" and the view was not good if you are not overlooking the pool.

It is very close to where we need to work during each visit. The staff is very friendly. It is within walking distance to Nice places to eat. This was our 3rd stay and the room this time was not nearly as nice as the other two. The bathroom was VERY small with a shower that you can’t bend over to pick up the soap if you drop it and nowhere in the shower to place your shampoo or soap! The room has suffered bad water damage and it seems the door was broken down at one time so the fixes made are quite shoddy and don’t reflect the nice furnishings of the hotel general areas. The fact that guests have to walk considerable distances exposed to the weather in order to reach their rooms is very unpleasant when raining. Water pools on the walkway surfaces which causes wet feet and can be dangerous to fall since the tiles are slick surfaced.

The front desk staff was exceptional. The pool is very nice with great lounge chairs. The palm trees around the pool are great. Our room had a seperate entrance from pool to room with private parking if you have a vehicle. The hotel was clean. Hotel needs updating. Breakfast is an additional charge and is expensive. Not much to see or do within walking distance.

Employees behind the Reception was a 10. Very kind and relaxed. The rooms are good en the bed was very good. Only thing what i don’t like was the little cabine for the shower. The shower was very good. Powerful and nice temperature.
