The Stone Gate Resort

The Resort gave wonderful Family vibes. Even though I was on a solo trip is was equally enjoyable.

The facilities are well maintained as demonstrated by the daily cleaning of the staff who are helpful and courteous. The resort offers indoors and outdoor activities for all ages. Location is perfect, away from the hustle and bustle of the town. The resort was full but did not feel crowded. Looking forward to trying the cottages next time.

The resort is very family-oriented with heated pool, beach, kayaks, paddle boards, playground, picnic tables, and fire pits. The staff is friendly. My only suggestion has to do with the in room coffee. It could be improved.

Location, customer service, the place was spotless. Excellent maintenance. The mattress was too soft. It was like sleeping in a hammock. But that will not prevent me from going back.

Paul and Adrienne are amazing! Very welcoming. We felt like we were seeing old friends instead of being just a guest like some other places. Their staff was very polite, friendly, and helpful. The property is absolutely beautiful, very clean, and very well done. Our room had everything we needed. Lake George is close by but far enough to get away from the hustle and bustle. Plus there is a private beach for the property. Lots of seating so that you can take in the breathtaking views of the lake. We decided that next time we visit we want to stay in one of the adorable-very well done- cabins. We absolutely recommend The Stone Gate Resort for your trip to Lake George.

This is a family-run resort, and you can feel the pride and care that goes into every detail. The owner is incredibly involved and adds such a personal touch to the experience. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and consistently went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to find a place that combines beautiful accommodations with such genuine hospitality. We left feeling relaxed, appreciated, and already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!

We go every year

The rooms and property were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The staff very helpful and friendly. Deli next door was convenient for coffee and/or breakfast in the morning and within walking distance. Just a great place to stay. I'd definitely book again.

Very close to the downtown, I recommend taking a ferry cruise down there for sure. Lots of fun mini golf courses around. We went to Antonio’s to eat, it was very good with a pleasant staff.

Property was clean and staff were very welcoming.. nice having the deli and store within walking distance. Firepits are lovely to have !! Nice comfy bed and nice and quiet, even with wedding guests staying there and it being car show weekend .. just booked for next year! We’ll be back! Thanks!
