Hôtel Gruyère

The hotel was really cosy and the room was nicely furnished. The place is close to everything, supermarket, pharmacy and the ferry port is nearby.

The booking confirmation suggested that breakfast was included. It was not.

Comfy beds, chic room, location right across the city center, good value for money. Liked to eat breakfast at the konditori, sorry its not available on sundays . Clean bathrooms Noisy floors (they are old i guess) and steep stairs. The faucet of the sink in the little bathroom needs an update

- Check-in with SMS is complicated (didn't get a SMS but a message in the app) - Bathroom very narrow (no shelf space) - No light in the room (only reading lamp of which one of the 2 didn't work) - Window directly to the street which is very noisy & window cannot be opened - WC door is transparent which might cause inconvenience for people traveling together who are not in a relationship - Very ring-hoarse (one could understand every word the neighbours were saying) - Breakfast only as a voucher for the bakery next door - The breakfast buffet was not very good

Clean and comfortable room with good wifi in central location, with supermarket over the road. Very reasonable price. Good breakfast in neighbouring (popular) cafe. More of a guest house than a hotel, e.g. no reception. Can't comment on staff, as never met anybody!

A charming place, very well located where you really feel at home. Clean and tastefully decorated, simple check-in/out, parking and shops in front of the hotel. Delicious breakfast in the nearby cafe. Excellent surprise!

Exceptional

We have stayed there for just one night during our bike trip along the coast. The location was perfect for that as the hotel is just in the way. There were also many restaurants , supermarket and the train station very near. The host was friendly and answered also the earlier on-line questions quickly. We could put our two bikes in the floor so they were safe for the night. There was a nice terrace on our floor that could be used for example to eat breakfast. We got the room with shared bathroom which was ok as there were two bathrooms for three rooms so there was not much traffic. The whole hotel and the room were nicely arranged you could see that someone put some effort to make it nice and cosy. There was a coffee and tee corner and a fridge that we could use. There were also some plates and cutlery to our use. The door to our room were deformed in the way that made it impossible to open/close them quietly. As we stayed the café where normally the breakfast should be served was closed. The owner made an effort to prepare some for us but at the end of the day it was just some ham, cheese, salami in the boxes, uncut vegetables (with no cutting board provided) and tost bread and müssli in the bags. The only thing that made it deferent that buying the same things in the supermarket were the boiled eggs and coffee (that the guests had to partially prepare themselves as it went out pretty quickly). But there was also some Joghurt and juice. We haven't have left hungry so it wasn't bad just not what we have expected.
