Odysseus Hotel

I booked this hotel because of the great reviews and as a solo traveler I was really looking forward to a restful stay after a long week of travel. When I forgot my keys, I went to reception for help, and instead of just unlocking the door and letting me through, the staff member walked all the way into my room and started looking around at my belongings, as if surveying it. After that interaction, being a solo traveler in a foreign country, I didn't feel comfortable in my room. The rest I paid a premium for didn't happen either. My room was on the ground floor right next to the breakfast area, and the morning clatter of dishes pulled me out of sleep, around 7 AM. When I vocalized my concerns to the owner afterward, he dismissed everything, claiming the receptionist said he never came into my room, and that the walls are soundproof. It's pretty ridiculous to deny all my claims as if I was delusional. The AC was also dysfunctional, which made the room quite cold. I would seriously advise travelers to consider staying elsewhere, especially given how the hotel handles guest concerns and the experience I've had.

This is a relatively new, immaculately maintained boutique hotel close to downtown (few if any other hotels in this small town looked new) No food other than breakfast. A 15” walk to many restaurants facing the marina (downhill to town but a fairly strenuous walk back up hill if you’re a senior citizen)

Sparkling clean. Ilaria was so helpful.Their driver picked us up at the port and delivered us and the baggage to our hotel.

Very kind and helpful staff, great location and nice Greek themed rooms. Free shuttle from and to the harbour when checking in and out. The pool is not very big but its ok.

The place was really clean and pleasant. The room was excellent. The best was though the friendly staff that had some truly excellent ideas on what to do during our stay. We also gained some super help to get to the boat in time. Everything went really well and we will definitely come to this hotel again. We have nothing to complain about.

Great hotel in Lipari. Super super clean and all white and blue. Very central and easy to walk to everywhere in Lipari. Very nice staff and they pick you up from the ferry as well! We had a really nice room with very nice view of the hills as well! super recommended!

Good location, nice room with balcony and a lady at the reception was very nice offering places to see where to eat etc. the owner also kindly offered to come and get us from the port to the hotel. All good

Breakfast is basic (it is typical in Italy). Could be improved by including some more fries like bacon and sausages. I enjoyed being welcomed by the staff and also their assistance to make the best out of our holiday. The room can be improved by providing more space where to put the clothes and other staff that travellers get with them. Also some more electrical sockets can be provided to allow for charging of mobiles and laptops.

Good location. Good size room. Clean. Friendly helpful staff. Hotel provided a transfer to/from Lipari port which was great. Nothing major. Would have liked a wall mounted shower bracket.
