The staff were so helpful and made some fantastic recommendations for our first time in Lisbon. The location was in the best area of town, close to great restaurants, bars and shopping. Our room was near the kitchen where they prepared breakfast so it got a little noisy with clanging of pots and pans etc. from about 7am so it was hard to sleep in. There was also no parking so we had to ditch our rental car. But those things were honestly pretty minor as it was still a fabulous stay!

Location was great. We had both a broken shower drain and toilet that were both clogged on arrival. After telling the staff, we stayed up until 12:30am waiting for them to fix our bathroom only to have them tell us that they would not be able to help us until the next morning. Very unpleasant not being able to shower or use your own bathroom.

Loved the location and how friendly everyone was Anytime you turned the water on or flushed the building would be so loud. I know given the age and the pipes it can cause that but did not deter our stay at all

The building is very well located, there are lots of restaurants, shops and cafes in the area. The breakfast was nice and included sweet and savory options - eggs, yoghurt, fruit, croissants, cheese. Drip coffee and teas were available and you could request a cappuccino. A complimentary bottle of water is also offered. ROOM # 8. Note that the rooms are all different in this building. As stated there is no elevator and there is no porter to help with your luggage. We were not comfortable with the kind lady at the receptionist carrying our heavy luggage. The plumbing is quite noisy in this building. This rating is for Room #8 which unfortunately did not meet my expectations. There is hardly any storage in this room. Although there appears to be a large closet, only 1/4 of the closet is accessible since one of the doors is nailed and the door that is accessible has a fridge and a safe in it. There is no table or dresser to lay a computer on in this room. The little buffet inside the room is fully occupied with the Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, cups and a daily complimentary bottle of water. The room has big bedside tables which block the closet door from opening and thus the door was nailed shut - Very unpractical for travelers trying to keep their clothes organized. As mentioned, this rating is for Room #8. If you stay at this local, you should not accept this room. The other room I booked had a full closet but no desk or table. When I asked for a table for my room, I was offered a chair since the local does not have extra furniture. My question is how do you design a room with a full closet and then block it because the side tables are in the way. I would not stay here again because I felt cheated since I was given a sub-standard room and paid the same price as the second room which was more functional. I was also asked but refused to pay for some minibar charges which I never consumed.

Great location near many restaurants, easy to walk to attractions or catch an Uber. Large comfortable quiet room. Delicious breakfast. The staff was exceptional! Nothing, we loved it all.

Fantastic location, close to sites, restaurants and shopping. Historic and unique. Loved our spacious suite. Catarina at the front desk was a kind and accommodating host. Breakfast was fabulous. Daily maid service appreciated. We would stay here again.

The location was great! Right next to multiple restaurants and right in the middle of multiple Lisbon spots to check out

  • Engine customer May 2026

Amazing location and the rooms were stunning. So spacious and beautifully done. The staff was so accommodating, friendly and helpful. I adored the space and the breakfast was absolutely exceptional. It will send you off well sustained for a day of sightseeing. So good and well done. And I can say enough about the service. So good. Don’t expect a view. They warn about it but mine was very bad. I just left the billowy curtain blowing in the breeze and didn’t look out but don’t necessarily expect to sit on your terrace. Also read the policies! I don’t notice but you cannot eat or drink food in your room. I stayed for one night so not a big deal but if you stay for a few days you may want to bring back wine or snacks. They expressly forbid that. Unusual as I consider my hotel room my space if I choose to relax in the afternoon with some Portuguese wine.

Great location overlooking an active plaza. Turned out to be a pretty handy location Easy to get confused with sister property because Booking.com has the wrong name for this property. This is Dear Lisbon - Bórdala House Chiado. Not Dear Lisbon - Bórdala Palace Chiado. Other property is called Dear Lisbon - Palace Chiado

Great location, super helpful staff, quiet, comfortable bed and good breakfast.

The interior was lovely and met my expectations. The view from our hotel was cute. A bit loud but not too noisy considering theres outdoor seating from the restaurants close to the hotel. Kritik was so nice and informative during our check in. He walked us through where breakfast was and background on the hotel building itself. He gave us great bar recs. Really appreciated his help. Outdoor noise near the window.
