The property location is excellent. It’s convenient, accessible, and close to many must-see attractions for first-time visitors. Not to mention that it is near the popular cafe, A Brasileira do Chiado, the world’s oldest bookstore, Livraria Bertrand - Chiado, and the hotel is at the Baixa-Chiado metro station and the world-renowned 28 & 12 tram. What I did not like was the smell in the facility, especially in our room’s bathroom (215), the breakfast area, and the toilets. There is a stench of wastewater that made my family turn down breakfast because it was unappetizing. There is also mold in the bathroom in room 215 (upper left when looking up in the shower).

The bed was somewhat uncomfortable, as were the pillows. The room wasn't spotless, but clean enough.

The rooms were great, clean, comfortable, and spacious.The location was very convenient for seeing the city on foot. The quality of the breakfast needs to be seriously updated. And my son got sick, we suspect, from the scrambled eggs.

Location was perfect-everything right outside the doorstep. Shopping and restaurants were plentiful. The buffet breakfast was fantastic. Lots of healthy options. The gym was an added bonus. Nothing to complain about.

The location was off the chart! I would stay here again and again. The room was great as well. We had a quad beds room and it served us very well. The price was a tad high for one family, but if I were travelling with friends and split the cost, it would be a GREAT deal! Overall, I am super happy with my choice! The hallways of each floor had excessive scent spray or something. I found it a bit off-putting, though I understand it is to cover bad odors that might come up especially during the summer. In the rooms itself, our AC unit was by the door and the bathroom, so in order to have the AC reach all the way to the first bed by the window, we had to put the AC on very high, which by morning comes, it is too cold. These were minor issues overall and would not impact my decision to rebook this hotel!

The room was exceptionally large for Europe. The location couldn’t have been better…walkable in all directions. The breakfast was outstanding and the staff were very nice and helpful. We would love to stay here again and will also recommend to family and friends. Everything was perfect!

Our room & hallways looked a bit worn- I would stay again because of location & staff were so helpful- breakfast buffet very good in palace like room.
